There is still I would say a 50/50 shot that the Celtics beat us without him, but this makes the Celtics a much more bearable matchup. With Garnett, we would be winning 1 game tops.
without KG, the Celtics are still a better team than the Bulls. We should still win this series, but last years first round debacle makes me a little bit worried. The Bulls became a very decent team after the Salmons trade.
This series is a toss up. Celtics are still a really good team, even without Garnett. I think a good comparison for them is the 2006-2007 Bulls actually. In that they have a great defense, and then just depend on 2 main guys to get the scoring done for them, and then some complementary help from another player (Hinrich/Rondo/Noc). What the Celtics did without Garnett this season is quite impressive imo. But obviously this levels the playing field. I think at the very least, now the Bulls can take all of the home games. I think this will be the series the NBA highlights for fans to watch, now that it is up for grabs.

I don't see how they can justify not keeping him period. Every night he's the most solid player on the team. I wouldn't blame him for leaving though. He knows he's the best scorer on the team but he isn't treated like the star player. I just hope Salmons can get some rest before Saturday, the Bulls aren't the same when he's not hitting shots.
Gordon isn't the star player, Rose is. And gordon is still a very bad decision maker although he's improved some, there have been instances where he's taken shots way too early in the shot clock with no one down low to even try and rebound, I mean he's a good scorer in spurts but he's still too inconsistent for me, I still hope that we get something in return for him though because people that can take over a game in any quarter dont come around too often, unless its Derrick Rose driving to the basket getting consistently easy layups
I don't even want to start on this again, but I think you are right that it will be a lot harder for the bulls to let him go if they do advance. And I don't see how they advance without BG playing very well. So, hopefully BG plays more like he did the two plus weeks before last night, and then somebody comes along and offers him a max deal....
