Round 1: West Lakers/Jazz-Lakers take it in 5 games..that's all I have to say. Blazers/Rockets-Takes 7 games, but we got the HCA so we prevail! If we can sneak a win in Houston we take it in 6 cause I just dont see anybody winning here. We end up moving onto the 2nd round facing the Lakers!! Spurs/Mavs-This one takes 7 games also, but the Spurs have Tony Parker & Timmy and better role players(Mason, Udoka, Bonner, ect.) Nuggets/Hornets-Nuggets win in 5 games. Hornets are just not playing well as of late, CP3 is having to do too much, and the Nuggets have way more talent(IMO) Round 1: East Cavs/Pistons-Cavs win in 5. They lose 1 game at Detroit in a close one...But overall they dominate the series. Hawks/Heat-I think this goes atleast 6 games, but with the Hawks having HCA they beat the Heat. Hawks have a pretty good homecourt as they almost knocked off the Celtics last year. Magic/76ers-Magic win it in 7(maybe 6). The only reason I say 7 is because they don't have Jameer, and the 76ers have some bigs that can possibly wear down Howard. But Magic end up taking it because they have Lewis, Howard, and of course, HCA. Celtics/Bulls-Celtics win in 5. Would be a sweep if they had Garnett, but Davis and other role players are playing great and Paul Pierce and Ray Allen will have need to dominate the playoffs if they want to get far. Round 2: West Lakers/Blazers-Lakers win in 7 games. We win every home game against them keeping the streak alive, but we're too young to win in L.A. in the playoffs. Spurs/Nuggets-Nuggets win the series in 6 games. Nuggets will have HCA and I just think they can take the Spurs, as they are aging and nearing(if not there already) there downfall(IMO). Round 2: East Cavs/Hawks-Cavs win in 5, again losing 1 game on the road. Magic/Celtics-I just think Celtics will beat the Magic in, I'm gonna say 6 games. The Celtics will have HCA and I think they have a better bench. Round 3: West Lakers/Nuggets-Lakers win in 5. Lakers drop a game at Denver, but Denver won't win in L.A. and the Lakers move onto the Finals Round 3: East Cavs/Celtics-Cavs win in 6, as they lose two in Boston but win game 5 and 6, assuming Boston doesnt have KG. Finals: Lakers/Cavs-I'm gonna say 7 game thrilling series. LeBron vs. Kobe, but LeBron along with Mo Williams and others will beat down the Lakers(HCA) and fellow cry babys as the Lakers once again lose!
I didn't realize there is an actual bracket for this. I thought say if the Mavs beat the Spurs, the Blazers would avoid the Lakers in the 2nd round because the Mavs are a lower seed. I thought the #1 seed always got the lowest seed left.
Here's mine: first round: Celtics in 5 Cavs in 4 Magic in 5 Heat in 6 Blazers in 7 Mavericks in 6 Nuggets in 7 Lakers in 5 second round: Cavs in 7 Magic in 6 Blazers in 6 Mavericks in 6 conf finals: Cavs in 5 Blazers in 7 finals: Blazers in 7
Eric, if it takes us 27 games to win the Championship this year, we aint doing it. I don't think this team can win four series, each one in 6-7 games. That's some really intense basketball. I'm not saying it's impossible that we win the Championship, but I don't think it would be like that.
I did a podcast for OutSports yesterday morning. Went over my predictions. It's up now: http://outsports.com/podcast/index.htm
