    "$50 million to Corey Maggette"

Did Mullin really do this? So he was the one trying to land Elton Brand or Gilbert Arenas? It's hard to believe Mullin was panicking so bad.

The biggest positive was Mullin's role. He put a face on the organization as someone in charge of player personnel. I liked his hair cut, too, since I got something similar ;).

It's rumored (and maybe confirmed?) that RR was behind the Maggette signing.

Don't put Maggs on Mully. Even his bad moves he rectified, with the exception of the Foyle signing. As for Diogu and O'Bryant, not that huge a deal, its not like he missed out on Brandon Roy or someone like that.

Yeah, for all the bad picks Mully made, the Warriors organization before Mully made some terrible choices that far outweigh Mully's.

In addition, look at when those deals happened. Most bad deals happened before Davis trade, and most good deals happened after Davis trade (And, I have no idea why Webber or Hudson's deals are there considering we paid 1 year veteran minimums). There is no question that Mullin was absolutely atrocious before Davis trade, and if he was fired because of his performance, he should have been fired long time ago. But, Mullin made up his mistakes, and made series of brilliant moves such as Davis trade, Jackson/Harrington trade, Richardson trade, bringing Nelson, and drafting Biedrins, Randolph and Ellis. If Warriors decided to give Davis a long term deal, we might have similar success as last two years, and when Warriors refused to give Davis an extension, they should have figured out that this season is a lost one. Anywhere you look at it, Mullin is not being let go because of performance issue, but because of personal issues between Mullin and Cohan/Rowell. And, the bigger problem is that Rowell just doesn't seem to know what he is doing in both talent evaluation or managing salaries. It's just frustrating...

For blown picks, Diogu is really a bad pick, because we drafted him as NBA ready player, and he couldn't get a minute even after changing the team like 5 times. Well, I guess it wasn't a total waste, because we were able to dump Dunleavy/Murphy because of him. POB is more of acceptable loss. Certainly, his pick was horrible. But, when you go for all potential/not NBA ready type of draft, you are bounded to hit and miss. In last 3 years, we drafted that type of players, POB, Wright, and Randolph, and I don't think it was all that bad...

Serious question: has ANY NBA team improved by letting the bean-counters undermine the basketball people?

Mullin may not have been the perfect GM, but I would bet that at this point he will have no trouble catching on with another franchise. Can the same be said for Rowell (or even Nelson)?

Problem is when the money guys start thinking they know the talent side. Same for baseball, same for football.

Philsmith75 and oldmangrouch make excellent points. My only other question is who are these Mullin/Rowell "supporters"? Are they people working inside the Warriors organization or what? Or are they just some people like us who love the Warriors and talk about them on message boards like this one and choose sides on these types of vague/mysterious conflicts?
