Isn't this guy the same CUNT who was mocking the Reds after the Ariza on Rudy foul game?

He was rolling his eyes at the notion that the Lakers might fear the Blazers... Looks like things have changed eh?

Strange. The article doesn't say much about Portland at all.

That's what I was thinking.. the headline mentioned Portland, but the only other mention was the Blazers' odds in the playoffs. I kept reading on to try to get to the point, but no mention. Weird.

That would be great! Though I'd prefer the Blazers eliminate the Lakers it'd be nice to have HCA in the second round too. Be funny if the Spurs and the Nuggets were eliminated by WC championship and we had HCA all the way through. Just imagine if there was major upsets in the eastern conference and we had HCA all the way through the finals! Ok, I might be dreaming but don't wake me up! :)

You need to go to page 2 of the article...

"aside from Portland, with a rising, young team that won 54 games, finished 19-5, and has an eight-game winning streak over the Lakers in the Rose Garden, going back four years.

Of course, the Trail Blazers must first get past a tough, veteran 53-win Houston team, with only two players -- Steve Blake and Joel Przybilla -- who were ever in the playoffs.

Not that they're precocious, but when did you hear a star on a contender say of the post-season, "They say you have to turn it up a notch," as Brandon Roy did?"

Come on now, Shav has tasted the post season, and Micheal Ruffin is a play-off tested 12th man with more play-off experience than the rest of the active roster combined. So, THAT'S why KP did the Ike for Girly Arms trade - to bring in much needed play-off experience...

I did. And as you saw, it says very little about Portland.

Regardless, LA is probably praying for Houston to win. To me, a Lakers/Blazers series is almost guaranteed to go 7, and once they get there anything can happen.
