As I have been to 30 games this season, I will say this flat out. We played our worst game of the year last night. I would also say that the Rockets played at their highest level. Those two things combined lead to a blowout.

I doubt we will play that poorly again. Yao said it best after the game when he told a reporter that he expected to see a much better Blazer team from this point on.

The following players played one of their worst games of the year last night: Steve Blake, LMA, Outlaw, Sergio, Joel. Oden and Roy were really the only players to play decent.

This team has defied the odds and statistics all season long, so hang in there Blazer fans. This team has faced a major flop before. Roy made a very accurate comparison after the game, he said it made him think about their opening game with the Lakers. I think you can learn a lot from getting a behind the woodshed beat down, the question is will the Blazers learn from this experience? We will find out on Tuesday.

I agree. I doubt Houston can shoot like that again. They didnt miss. We'll come out with more fire on Tuesday and whoop their ass.

The only problem is part of the reason the Blazers played so bad was because of the Rockets. They match up defensively very well against us. They take us out of our game. They did it all year. Confidence is a big factor now. You could see at the beginning of the game we second guess ourselves and didn't take shots we normally would have taken. The Blazers really need a decisive win Tuesday to get their confidence back.

I also think our crowd might have been a negative because I think the Blazers were already amped up and we put them over the edge.

    GO BLAZERS!!

80% in the first quarter is far and away the best basketball that anyone has played. I honestly can't say I've ever seen ANYONE shoot 80% in a quarter. It's fucking insane.

I agree that this may be the best the Rockets will play this series, and this is probably the worst PDX will play as well. Hopefully that works out in our favor in the remaining games (especially Game 2 which is a make/break game for our season).

But damn we match up so poorly with Houston... the worst team to play, matchup wise, in the West for us.

Well I have been to 87 games this season and I can PROMISE you that was the worse game of the year! Opening night they got killed, but they were not coming off playing so well for 3 weeks. We will win game 2!
