I couldn't agree more. The sky is FAR from falling. Every one needs to chill the fuck out. All it takes is a little logical thinking. Can't wait for Rip City Redemption on Tuesday.
Batum is a rookie that scored 2 points in his 20 minute playoff debut. Maybe if he knows he is being benched and he is not telling us that.
From your previous post I thought you were a respectful Houston fan. Now I see that you're just here to mock us. Get the hell out.
I'm looking out for young Portland fans. When TMac said he would finish the Mavs, or beat Utah, every Rockets fan got their hopes too high when the Rockets took a 2-0 series lead. Batum played more minutes than he averages last night and failed to score his 5ppg. His defense was lackadaisical and I don't expect him to be capable of stepping up on Tuesday and giving the Blazers 10-15ppg in a playoff game. On the other hand, Portland has players like Bayless who scored twice as many points in half the time stuck on the bench. Small, quick teams that attack the basket hurt the Rocekts by putting Yao in foul trouble and getting to the line. A line up of Bayless, Roy, Outlaw, Aldridge, and Przybilla would be effective against Houston. Sub Oden in when Yao sits.
I think we need to put Batum on Brooks during some point in game 2. He has had success before in guarding quick PG's
Bayless is fast enough to keep up with Brooks. McMillan doesn't play Jerryd because of his poor shot selection which I believe stems from everyone wanting him to be a three point shooter. Skip can get to the free throw line and that is crucial in a seven game playoff series. Especially since it can take Yao out of the game with foul trouble.
We tried that. Stern and the refs decided the China market is too important to do something silly like call a foul on Cyao Main.
LOl, I just saw a small sample size of highlights on the kia shootaround, and they showed 2 ticky tack and 1's Yao got..I hope we got Bad Boys on the Rockets the rest of the series.
Try harder. Portland can score and they can play way better defense than last night. Keep attacking Yao consistently with Bayless, Outlaw, Roy, Fernandez, and Sergio and front him late in the game. That is how other teams take him out of the game. Game 2 will tell me a lot about Portland.
First time we've seen you post here all season, as far as I can recall. First let me say, great game last night by the Rockets. If Yao can remain perfect the rest of the series, I guess it may be a short one. That said, perhaps if you'd been around here during the rest of the season you'd have a clue about Bayless. Where did you get the idea that everyone wants him to be a 3 point shooter? Dude's only taken 27 3 point attempts all season. Jerryd has pretty much been an end of the bench guy all season except for when Blake was out with a shoulder injury. He has a lot to learn about playing the point. His crappy shot selection last night was simply a reflection of what the rest of the team was struggling with...too much one-on-one play because the Rockets had totally disrupted the Blazers usual offensive sets. It's a series and we'll see if the Rockets can remain as hot as they were last night and whether the Blazers can make the adjustments needed to win.
I don't think that Bayless or the team is ready for that yet. He is a competitor, but he has hardly played this year. So, even though he looked decent at times on Brooks, I think the better option is try putting Batum on him at some key points in game 2.
He's got a fucking Wade sig pic for fuck sake He's probably got a Chris Paul Jersey on as he's typing all this shit.
You guys are acting like a bunch of pissed off douche bags. The guy is just giving his insight on the team, off of last game and him watching Rocket games during the season. It's nice to get some insight on how to stop Yao. I don't see why you guys are attacking him, your just making yourselves out to look like a bunch of guys who are going to slit their wrists if we lose this series, but until then you'll defend anything bad said against the team. Face it, we played like shit last game and most of the things he has said are correct. So take a chill pill, and know we are going to adjust and come out with a vengeance in Game 2. Should be a good one.
