If you think Richard Jefferson or Vince Carter would have saved the Blazers from the Rocket onslaught Saturday night, I have to say, I completely disagree with your point that a trade would have made a difference for that game.

And most Blazers fans are laughing at your notion that some overpaid, worn out, bloated ego picked up in a trade that would have cost us part of our core would have been a positive move by any stretch of the imagination. :biglaugh:

Well this team is young and cheap. Worst case scenario is they lose in round one, get some playoff experience, sign a big free agent maybe Bibby this year or if they are patient, Wade next year and they will be contenders for years to come.

Last night was rough. I had to swear myself off Blazer related info for a while so I could recoup mentally. :dunno:

How I felt after the game was almost exactly how I felt after opening night when the Lakers plastered us in LA and Greg got hurt again. In that game we looked nervous and completely unprepared for the task at hand. I was surprised how similar the game was last night.

I have since returned to normal, semi level-headed fan mode. It sucks how long we have to revel in this loss before the next game.

Hells yea! Look at how much those overpaid, worn out, bloated ego vets on the Rockets hurt their team!

    Oh.....wait......

Their vets actually played well, and their younger players followed their lead. Wow! Vets influence their younger team-mates! Who would have thunk it? :biglaugh:

That might be true, but momentum is a fickle thing. If the Blazers had broken the Rocket's momentum after the 1st quarter, they would still have had a chance. Instead, they went into "headless chicken" mode, and never came out of it. Can you honestly say their lack of experience had nothing to do with that.

While your scenerio is fun to look at, Portland can't get anyone next off season.

Portland will have both Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge to extend then, and will be well over the cap.

Bibby might be someone who could be added though

OK, anybody watch the Philly/Orlando game? An 18 point comeback, with a couple of hoary old vets (Miller, Marshall) making big contributions.

Philly could have collapsed the same way the Blazers did - and they DIDN'T.

I love Miller and think he could be a great add to this team.

Or Butler or Wallace- would have given an extra option on offense.

Butler was not available. Might as well say, "or LeBron".

Wallace would have cost us Batum. Would you have paid that price? I wouldn't.

Andre Miller is a point guard, and wasn't part of any trade rumours. I don't think Philly had any interest in moving him. And yes, I would have traded RLEC for him.
