    If they go twin towers they are going to need a lot of offense from the perimeter in order to create some space for Greg to operate and to counter Joel's limited repetoire. I guess that means Roy, Rudy and either Blake or Trav on the court with those two. :dunno:

    I guess we'll find out if it's a go or not on Tuesday.

    What confused me is why we put Frye in in the first place. Frye DNP's have usually been good things. Why mess with what we had? I could see him in if it was a blowout either way.. but when I saw him in during the 1st yesterday, my eyes almost popped out.

    I'm all for this. When we used it against Boston, I remember thinking how well it worked and that we'd be seeing it again. Honestly, I wonder why we didn't.

    And yeah, Frye in the first was definitely not the way to go.

    Both. Playing Yao straight up, and telegraphing it prior to the game, was a horrible game plan.

    This doesn't make sense to me. The problem right now is that the Rockets are funneling our perimeter players into Yao and not leaving out perimeter players. They are able to do this because Greg and Joel and not a threat outside of 4ft. I think going to Aldridge at the 5 makes more sense. Sure he can't defend Yao straight up, but neither could Joel or Greg. At least we could space the floor on the other end.

    I outlined my proposal in more detail in the other thread... LMA plays the 3 and provides plenty of length and mobility to drop down and cover Scola as needed. Artest is not a slasher, so he can roam more than against a lot of other SF's.

    The guy that the Blazers can leave to double team is Battier. He scored double digits just 17 times this season.

    Anything, and I mean anything, that keeps Frye off the floor is a step in the right direction. Ruffin would be a better option. Shav would be a better options. A line-up of Sergio, Blake, Roy, Rudy and Bayless would be a better option.

    Frye seems like a good guy and all, but this year he has been one of, if not the, worst player on the team. There is no conceivable reason he should play one more second of ball in a Blazer uniform. Bench him for the rest of the playoffs, then kick him to the curb at the end of the season.
