The bout will likely be a superweight event since Sapp will never make the heavyweight weight limit of 265-lbs.. Sapp fought at well over 300-lbs in Japan. Sapp last competed at K-1 Dynamite!! 2008 The Power of Courage, defeating MMA n00b Akihito Tanaka in the first round by strikes. Sapp's last fight on US soil was at Strikeforce at the Dome in February of 2008. Sapp fought Jan "The Giant" Nortje in the main event. Sapp crumpled to the mat in the first minute of their bout after a barrage of punches from the South African fighter.
