At this time before game 1, there were a few hundred people surrounding the court, right now, nobody! I hope the fans haven't given up on this team!
Fuck. I'm seriously less excited about this game than when the Blazers take on the Grizzles at home during the regular season. If they lose, the season is basically over...I'm afraid this game will be like a car crash that I can't look away from.
I actually feel pretty good about tonight's game. I think the blazers will adjust and start fronting yao.
If we lose, the season is NOT over. Rockets blew a 2-0 lead against Dallas and both of those games were IN Dallas.
That Dallas team won like 60 games that year, and actually had the stones to win on the road. If we lose tonight the series is over, period.
This fanbase is different than the one I grew up with. This group is a bunch of bandwagoners. They might as well wear L*ker jerseys--oh, yeah, they probably did up until a few months ago.
I like both lol. I've liked the Blazers since the beginning of the Pippen days. Arvydas Sabonis was the man! Didn't like the Lakers (because I hated Shaq), but I always liked Kobe since he was a rookie. Lakers became my 2nd favorite team in 2003 when Karl Malone (my favorite player ever) joined them. The Mailman left but I kept on being a Laker fan because of Kobe and Lamar Odom (another player I've liked for a very long time). Meanwhile, I liked the Jail Blazers. And I'm a Roy/Aldridge/Oden fan. So I like both teams. Is there something wrong with me??
Furthermore, I am not from the CA/OR area. I've been to CA three times in my life, so I'm not atuned to the regional rivalry you guys had. I do remember watching every game of the 2000 WCF and rooting for the Blazers though. That hurt.
