Greg Oden has Rogue's power. When he touched Mutumbo, he sucked his defensive abilities and nearly killed him.

One of the longest careers in NBA history. It sucks to be ended with an injury, but I'd bet a LOT of players would love to end their career "with their boots on" like Deke did, and well into his 40s!

I am glad that the injury was not caused by Oden; his knee just gave way. I don't want any Portland players to be thought of (or to think of themselves) as the kind of guys who injure others.

Deebag... I thought the same thing... but thought it was some comsic rebalancing of age going on... with Mutombo sucking Greg Oden's old age out of him.

I'm glad I got to watch one of my favorite basketball players of all time play, if only for a few minutes. Mutombo will be remembered long after a lot of NBA champs are forgotten. Particularly by those lives he helped save in Africa.

I wish the best for Mutombo. A great basketball player and a great person. His finger wagging will be missed!

A real shame. He was a tremendous person, and one of the most under-rated players of all time.

As for the people who thought comparing Oden to Mutombo was an insult to Oden.....grow up!
