I was slightly disappointed not to get anything. Oh well, I'd rather have a win than some cheap crap!
That'd be cool, and loud! I'm sure the Rocket bench would love it if 10-15 fans sitting behind them all had drums, especially during time outs when Adelman is trying to talk to the team.
i was very disapointed in the game crew. 1. Same opening as regular season, i liked it in the RS but you gotta come up with something for the playoffs. work on it during the regular season and have it ready to go. 2. No swag, not really upset too much cause the stuff is usually hella cheap, but it would have been nice. 3. Same old same old in timeouts/at the quarter. i know standard tv/appliance pays alot but at the end of the first, we make a nice run capped by a roy 3 at the buzzer. the whole place is going nuts, chanting and screaming, and here comes dumbass todd with a lady looking to win a range. all the energy drains as everyone sits down in their seats and hopes the lady embarrasses herself and can't find the damn thing.
That's always been my biggest complaint about the game ops. Seems like they always have to stick with their script no matter what happens. We could go on some gigantic 20-0 run to bust open the game in the second or third qtr capped by a huge alley oop to Rudy, and then they trot out some stupid bicycle racing game with Ronald McDonald... They save all of the timeouts where people can get up on their feet and cheer for the final 3-4 mins of the game. It sucks.
And where the hell are the opening fireworks? I knwo we cant use flames now. But seriously weak ass intros.. I totally could have used something with the Enter Sandman intro they were using, along with fireworks and lights.. come on step it the hell up!
As far as the intro, I think the Game 1 intro didn't go over too well with the crowd as no one cheered through it. So they went back to that old reliable one they have for the big games in the regular season. Oh well.
But spice it up.. Imagine the lights going out and the intro to Enter Sandman comes on.. lights start flashing some and then right before it picks up into the main riffs with drums.. fireworks go off to that drum beat right before those riffs.. tell me you wouldnt be pumped!
I liked the Enter Sandman intro they did before the second Laker game. THAT was pretty sweet. I just think they didn't expect the Game 1 intro to go over that badly, so they went back to what worked before. They panicked. I'd love Enter Sandman though, maybe you should take Todd's job.
I couldnt get to the 2nd laker game unfortunately.. I would LOVE to have a Job like that though, where my Job is to pump people up! you should have seen me on the walk back to the lloyd parking lot last night lol.. I had so many cars honking it was nuts!
haha. The cars were honking all over the place, it was great! Here's the intro video they played before the Laker game, that they replayed again at the rally.
Ah ok I did see that when I was watching the rally on tv, now imagine that in a dark arena with 20000 revved up people lol. Thanks for the vid.
I must say... when they played that video when they counted down the time for warmups, it was REALLY good and got me FIRED up. They should bring that back for Game 5.
What they were handing out in front of the Roswe Garden were some kind of energy drink . . . big ones with 28 grams of sugar and all other kind of amp material in it. I thought it was perfect. I drank half of one and was almost sweating during the game. I don't know if it was the playoffs, the late changed calls or the drink . . . but I was amped that night . . . and have no voice this morning. Anyone else drink one of those energy drinks and did you get amped on it?
Dude up in the last row it was so Hot and I was sweating all game lol.. I didnt have one of those drinks and I was going nuts.. I was literally physically exhausted after all I put into this game.. oh and no voice today either for me lol.. can only imagine if I had an energy drink.
Me and MASRipCity and his wife were there. Though I was singing "Ciao Mein." That's what MAS's mother calls him.
