Has Kobe ever shot 70% in the series? Wade is the better team player. It has been proven in that Detroit and Miami series.

The fact is Kobe takes like 10 more shots per game to get his average. Wade gets his points while keeping his team involved which is exceptional to do both. Last game he was like Nash with finding Jason Williams again and again. I don't think Jason Williams has that big of a game with Kobe.

Kobe has never had Shaq on his team, has he?

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nitro1118 @ Apr 23 2006, 02:28 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Kobe has proven on many cases he is a lockdown defender when he wants to be. He did it against AI, he did it against T-Mac, he did it against Ray Allen, etc....</div>I am sorry to tell you this, but Kobe Bryant has never shut down T-Mac in a game, i'm sorry, but that's the truth. It is impossible for one on one, anyone to shut down Tracy Mcgrady when he is playing without injury, unless it's just a bad night for Tracy Mcgrady. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (LakersFan247 @ Jun 3 2006, 07:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>didnt kobe average about 7 or more assists then?i remember shaq saying it in the lakers dynasty video/dvd</div>No, Kobe did not average 7 assists ever, infact his highest assists per game average was 6 even, and that was last year without Shaq on the team. That aside, comparing the two passing and being a team player is completely rediculous upon looking at it. As far as skill set goes, Kobe Bryant can make any pass, and is as talented of a passer as Wade is. The difference, like someone told me and i completely agree with them, it doesn't do any good when you have someone that doesn't want to pass. All the skill in the world is for nothing if the person doesn't use that skill. This argument interested me, people saying that Kobe is as good of a team player as Wade(Lakersfan247.) So i went back to look at the stats to see if i can get a view from the stats as the better team player, but like everyone knows, stats can be misleading sometimes. The stats i looked at was of when Kobe had Shaq on his team, and Wade with Shaq on his team. So lets look at these stats. Kobe Stats(00-01) 5 assists per game, had 1510 field goal attempts, shot 46.4 percent, 28.5 ppg, Shaq played in 74 games that year, Kobe played in 68 games that year.(01-02) 5.5 apg, 1597 fga, 46.9%, 25.2 ppg, Shaq played in 67 games, Kobe played in 80 (02-03) 5.1 apg, 1924 fga, 45.1%, 30 ppg, Shaq played in 67 games, Kobe played in 82 (03-04) 5.9 apg, 1178 fga, 43.8%, 24 ppg, Shaq played in 67 games, Kobe played in 66Wade Stats(04-05) 6.8 apg, 1313 fga, 47.8%, 24.1 ppg, Shaq played in 73 games, Wade played in 77(05-06) 6.7 apg, 1413 fga, 49.5%, 27.2 ppg, Shaq played in 59 games, Wade played in 75So looking at these stats alone, i am led to believe that Wade is the better team player. He Averaged more assists, and shot a better percentage than Kobe Bryant did. Again these are all years that both had Shaq on their team.
Wade is still a young'n. He is not ready to compete with Kobe because he still has things to work on. Kobe is superior to him in everything but driving and passing. It doesnt matter if Wade made the Finals. Kobe won 3 championships with Shaq when he only a bit older than Wade is. I dont think this can be debated yet..
I found out a couple of days ago that wade is actually 24, for some reason i thought he was younger. And b, finally you say something that sounds reasonable.

Being a Heat fan I would love to say Wade but that wouldnt be right. Kobe is better at everything except driving and passing. They are both equal on defense IMO cuz both can shut down an opponent when they want to. Wade will get better year by year so its not clear who is the better one of the two. Yes, Kobe won his third ring when he was 23 but that's because he came into the NBA from high school. Wade went to college until he was a junior or senior so that's not really fair to compare. Wade is a better team player than Kobe, but Kobe is a better scorer, and has proven more so far.Kobe is better than Wade for now, but Wade will improve to be equal or better than him if he gets his jumpshot down and extends his game to the three point line.
Kobe of course for now atleast. Wade is crazy good, but not like Kobe yet. Who thought Kobe would have taken the team he had this past season to the playoffs except for hopefull Lakers fans? Not me........ I gotta give Kobe props.
