THE GOOD:-Keyon is our best perimeter defender.-Deshawn is our best 1-on-1 defender.-Darko is our best at the basket defender.-Tony is our best around the basket defender.-Dwight is ok at both, at and around the basket but not as good as Darko and Tony.-Jameer is our best 'up the court' defender with his ability to steal, his quickness and speed, and his ability to finish at the rim after hes stolen the ball.-Stacey is a overall good defender who did great work on Kobe one of these times this season. And he did good work on the other guys he guarded.-Bo is a real good defender of the post.-Havent seen much of Ariza but he looks to be a good on the ball defender and can keep up with his man. He hustles and plays hard on defense.THE BAD:-Travis cant defend at all.-Mario is not very good at defense.-Grant cant keep his body from getting injured.-Hedo can defend, just mostly he looks lost or not into defense; he lets guys get past him and straight to the rim.THE OTHER:-Morris hasnt seen much time on the court so we cant really judge him.-The team as a whole cant defend on the road and stop the opponent from winning.I think as a whole we have pretty good individual defenders but as a whole we need work.

I think Hedo plays pretty decent defense, bc of his long arms mainly. He moves his feet moderately well. And Stacey Augmon really does nothing but foul. I don't know how he gets away with it. I would probably consider Ariza your best perimeter defender.

I think that Deshawn is the Magic's best perimeter defender. He does everything right on defense from what i watch. Deshawn slides his feet the best, has the best defensive posture, gets his hands down to defend the passing lanes, and is easily our best perimeter defender i think. One on one he is most definately the best, but i think he really fits into the Magic's team defense as well. He leads the other players into the traps, and towards the shot blockers on the team. I personally think Deshawn is the best perimeter, one on one, and just all around defensive player on the team. I think magic man is right though, this team has alot of good individual defenders they just need to learn how to play together. They need to learn when to call for help, and admit they are beaten. The guys down low need to work on bumping the other big men when they don't have the ball to get them away from down low. The players on the wing need to keep their discipline, and stop from jumping into lanes for steals too much. This is a very young team though, and not used to each other with all of the injuries and trades that have taken place. With some practice, and playing together, this team should be a defensive monster. All the Magic need now is a small forward that can attack the rim, play defense, and move up and down the court well. With that, this team will be very good in the future.
