I'd prefer Maynor. I also have a man-crush on Johnny Flynn, and I'm at least a bit interested in Lawson and Teague.

    http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=283552509

    Curry 13 points 5-26 shooting

    http://sports.espn.go.com/ncb/boxscore?gameId=290532166

    Curry 20 points 6-23 shooting

I can cherrypick games too. The guy is a low percentage chucker. He's going to be a poor mans Ben Gordon. His draft stock has been plummeting for a reason. I'd rather move up and take Lawson or Teague over Curry.

What's funny is the games you picked he shot a really low percentage

    @Oklahoma 12-29 41%
NC state 15-33 45% Hey made it to average
    WVU 9-27 33%

Face it, this guy is the next JJ Redick.

He choked in that he wasn't able to get his team into the tournament.

I say trade out of the draft for 2nd round picks in later drafts or just draft a European and ship him over seas. I think Joel Freeland can cure our backup PF slot next year and we could make a move to try and get Miller or Hinrich, and least likely but possible Sessions.

My point guard wish list in this draft would go like this:

    1. Flynn
    2. Rubio
    3. Teague
    4. Maynor
    5. Lawson

I'd rather have Bayless than any realistic PG in this draft, honestly. But...

    1. Rubio
    2. Jennings
    3. Mayner
    4. Teague
    5. Flynn
    6. Lawson

    is probably my 6.

He might be worth trading up to - the question is what you give to get him. Giving JB to get him does not strike me as a good idea. Giving money and a lower pick - if he is the best guy left that KP wants - why not?

Yeah, but there's also the opportunity cost...who you could draft at that spot instead. At #24, it's less likely that there will be better players available. If you trade up (inexpensively, as you hypothesize), depending on how high you trade up, there will be players who seem better...like Flynn, Maynor, Jennings, Blair, etc.

That was why I said he didn't seem worth trading up for. If the cost in trade wasn't too high, then the opportunity cost of draft Curry over other players on the board probably would be. However, you're right...if KP can trade up to a spot where Curry is his BPA and it's inexpensive, then it's worth it. Based on my own opinion of Curry, I find that unlikely, but if KP likes Curry more than I do, I'd trust his judgment over mine.

Cherry pick games? You said he choked against good teams, so I took nearly all of his games against high level competition from the last 2 seasons. Low percentage chucker? He has shot 45+ percent from the guard position & 40% from 3 throughout his career. He is THE premier shooter in the country, all this while taking 10 3pt shots a game. His career eFG% is a phenomenal 58%, that's through the roof for a guard that shoots as much as he has. You obviously lied out of your ass when you said you've seen him quite a bit b/c he is nowhere near JJ Redick. Redick couldn't create his own shot or had the handles and quickness that Curry possess. Curry's only real bad game was against Purdue, but that is a great defensive squad and not many people have good games against them anyways. In the West Virginia game, he also took it over and won the game for his team by scoring & putting up 10 assists. You put Curry on a high level team, his scoring would of taken a dip of course but his assists would be 8+ easily. But I guess you can blame him for leading his team to 2 29-win seasons, and a 27-win season where he only had 1 other decent player on his team, what a choke job for getting doubled constantly and his team building a brickhouse.

Curry almost single handedly beat the 2008 National Champions. Just throwing that out there. A team with 4 NBA Players. 5 Drafted ones.

I've seen a lot of him, I'm not lying. I watched all Davidson games during their tourney run and all the games Davidson was on national tv.

I wasn't comparing his game to JJ Redick just that he is going to be that much of a bust in the NBA.

And all that stuff still doesn't change the fact that he's a low percentage chucker.

When he's hot he hot but when he's not he's not. Much like Ben Gordon.

I did, did you see the games I posted?

If you take into the account the competition he went against his career averages aren't impressive. 45 percent is pretty average, it's not like that's incredible or anything.

So apparently you didn't see this "lower" competition Curry was facing when teams would double and triple team him, and he was still scoring. SoCon isn't that bad of competition and have some pretty decent athletes but he's just that much better than everyone in the conference. Throughout his career, Curry has shot 5+% better than Ben Gordon and JJ Redick. There aren't many guys that shoot 50% in college, like Brandon Roy or Salim Stoudamire did their senior years. Enough with the chucker comparison too, his team had 1 other player that could score, so he was forced to put points on the board for his team. Without Curry, they were a bottom feeder in that conference, but when he was playing they were the best team by light years.

Enough with the 3 game samples, you aren't Kingspeed, even he would tell you:

It's funny that you brought up Salim Stoudamire. Made me wonder what happened to him. He recently signed with the Bucks. Dude hasn't played all year.

Yeah, guy was always a great scorer but hasn't been able to find a role anywhere. His is quick but his shooting pocket is lower than you would like for a 6 foot guy to shoot from, it's probably a reason he hasn't done that great in the NBA.

My cousin played ball with him at Lincoln High School before Salim transferred to Lake Oswego. He said everyone on the team hated Stoudamire. Said he was a real egomaniac.

Yeah, he had attitude problems @ Arizona until his senior year, when he took on a leadership role and somewhat changed after Lute Olson suspended him. His ego was so big, Lute Olson even suggested he transfer earlier in his career if he didn't want to change. It was pretty fun watching him develop over the years and his senior year was a treat to watch. Guy shot 50% from the field & 50% on 3pt, and had a great shot in the tourney where he beat Oklahoma State.
