That's exactly what I thought after the game last night. Jungle Karma, by the way shooter, is what Jim Rome and all his clones (fans) say when a player or team does something wonderful after being on the Jungle (Jim's show.) Roy was on the Jungle yesterday
But Jim Rome is a douchebag and a tool. I really can't stand that guy. And that's coming from someone who understands and can even appreciate a little arrogance from time to time. How he has a TV and radio show amazes me. And his "Clones"...WTF.
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=jungle karma 1. jungle karma It happens when an athlete or coach appears on Jim Rome's radio show (nicknamed "The Jungle") or his TV show and then wins their next game and most of the time has a great game individually to go along with it. Jungle karma can also backfire if you back out on your commitment to come on. If you do that you lose the game, have a bad game, or get hurt for jerking with the karma. Athletes and coaches should never mess with the jungle karma.
People say they play better after going on Rome. KP is going on Rome, so we're joking that he is going to suit up for us tomorrow.
I hold nothing against Rome. In fact, I think he's very entertaining and one of the best sports radio personalities today. His show is great, too.
As a fellow UCSB alum (me = class of '01; Rome = class of '87), I get a certain twinkle in my eye when he gives shout-outs to 'Merdad at Sam's to Go in Isla Vista.' The beer is waaaaay overpriced, but worth every god-damn penny. There's no better place on the planet to get shit-faced and chop it up with some of the hottest, sluttyest co-eds on the planet.
