When the first pass to Yao is not there, we can't panic," said reserve guard Von Wafer, who scored 21 points in Game 2. "We've just got to move the ball and keep moving it. I don't feel like they're that good defensively. We have to exploit them."

Who the hell does this guy think he is? "I don't feel like they're that good defensively"?? I hope that quote is pinned up in the Blazer locker room tonight.

Well, we haven't been that good on defense. On the other hand, Houston is terrific defensively.

It's actually pretty unreal, and it shows what a bonehead the guy is.

Has he had his way with the Blazers defense so far? In game 2 most certainly.

Taunting the defense of a team you're matched up against in a series isn't a good idea. Not even the likes of Kobe, Labron, Wade, etc. make comments like that. Now, if he'd said "We feel if we keep the ball moving we'll be able to get good shots . . . " that's another story. "I don't feel like they are that good defensively" is just a stupid thing to say.

Wafer is that kind of player that runs his mouth and looks for his "boys" to back him up. You had friends like this growing up. I had a friend in high school, always ran his mouth talking crap to people, picking fights etc... He had that big little man syndrome. One day I finally told him you either shut your mouth or your on your own. Got tired of always having his back. I can't imagine the Rocket players are all to happy about a guy that ONLY knows how to score talk about how crappy our defense is when his ass doesn't play any defense for them.

Portland is not a great defensive team, but Von should really be careful about giving Portland chalkboard material. If it wasn't for Portland paying attention to every other Rockets player, Wafer would be fucked. He has a half season of streaky scoring and suddenly he's the man?

Honestly I think it would be a good idea to sick Batum on this moron for 15 minutes or so. Let's see you score then, douche bag.

Um...... what is he saying that's wrong? This guy looks like an allstar against us and so does Brooks! Put him on his ass.... bump him and Brooks out of the arena and then we can talk some shit. We haven't!!! Those two guys confidence is huge now and honestly can anyone disagree that they've been walking into our paint and scoring with ease? Wafer and Brooks have gone to the rim sometimes without even a body on them!

Wafer is dead on!!!! He's calling out Rudy, Outlaw and the rest of the aw shucks crew and saying what are you going to do to stop us? For the last two games he's not BS'ing he's stating fact!!!!

Well, unfortunately the quote got cut short. Right after he said that, he proceeded to talk about how good the Blazers are on offense. Is was more like, "I don't think they're that good on defense. But they're a really good offensive team." Which based on their numbers during the season, and what they've done so far in this series, is hard to dispute.

Well, not that they needed it but Wafer was 1-6 in Game 1. The guy is averaging 13.5 ppg and shooting 42% for the series. I wouldn't say he "looks like an allstar". He had ONE good game. ONE.

Tell you what though - I hope our buddy Von does take matters into his own hands tonight. I hope he does think the Blazers can't stop him. I'll take my chances with jacking up shots trying to "exploit" our bad defense. If he goes for 21 points again, I'd live with that. I don't think the Rockets will win the series if Aaron Brooks and Von Wafer are firing up a bunch of shots.
