The Yankees are going into Fenway Park three games over .500. The Yankees weren’t three games over .500 until June 14th of last year. They’ve done it without Joba winning, with Chien-Ming Wang having a 34.50 era, without Alex Rodriguez and with Mark Teixeira getting a cortizone shot because of tendinitis in his left wrist. A lot of things have gone wrong and for the Yankees to be three games over .500 going to Fenway Park, the Yankees have to feel pretty good about themselves. Joba Chamberlain gets the start tonight against Jon Lester and he’s waiting for his first decision of the year. Joba is poised to have a good outing. He still doesn’t have great command and his velocity isn’t where he wants it to be. You have to believe that Joba’s command is going to get better because it’s been spotty in the early going but he’s still throwing the ball pretty well. Once he gets his command back, you’re going to see a top flight pitcher in the bottom end of our rotation. Josh Beckett and A.J. Burnett is going to be a great matchup. They both like the pressure and they both throw hard. These guys are gunslingers and they have great stuff. A.J. is off to a great start and setttled in great with the Yankees. Andy Pettitte likes to keep hitters off balance and has experience in the Yankees-Red Sox rivalry. Justin Masterson doesn’t have the same experience Pettitte has and he’s been relieving most of the time to start the season. To me the wild card in this matchup is David Ortiz. He hasn’t hit a home run yet and is off to a terrible start. The Yankees can’t let him have an impact on the series. Predictions: If Jose Molina catches Joba Chamberlain tonight, then I expect the Yankees to keep it close until the Yankee bull pen comes in. The Yankee bull pen is young and they don’t have much experience in the Yankee-Red Sox rivalry so you could see a blown save. If Jorge starts behind the plate for Joba, the Yankees are getting destroyed. Simple as that. Since Jose Molina is catching A.J. Burnett, I expect the Yankees to win a close game against Josh Beckett. The last game of the series will be interesting. If Pettitte moves the ball around and keeps the Red Sox hitters off balance, then the Yankees will be in the game throughout. If he tries to strike the Red Sox hitters out, he will make an early exit. Final Prediction: I have no clue with these Yankee-Red Sox games. Anything can happen when these two teams get together. I do know one thing however. It’s going to be fun.
im just giving you a hard yime. just thought it was funny btw...fuck Xavier Nady! I trade for him ( & Cliff Lee was main part of trade) and then hes possibly out for the year two days later! Fuckin A!
Wow, Xavier Nady wasn't even supposed to start this year. Girardi wasn't sure on him. That was a bad trade on your part.
