Anyone else have a problem with this?

I was out of control tonight. Every mistake, I was cursing, throwing something, etc. Every score or good play I was just amped as fuck.

The blazers better win rings every year from now on, otherwise I may pop a vein in my head. I was glad I was in my apartment, not in a sports bar or god forbid in Houston..otherwise I would probably be in jail right now.

Same thing happened on opening night in LA. I almost got into a few fights on the way back to my car. So tied to this team right now. It feels good and sometimes it just gets obsessive.

It may indeed be a Blazer "mania"

    :sigh:

American sports are advancing. Soon they will be as passionately followed as soccer is. This isn't a blow at American fans, it's just basketball, baseball and American football are relatively new compared to soccer.

I would love to see firms inside basketball teams! :D

i get pretty mad. my ex learned not to bother me when the blazers were upsetting me. i dont get this upset with any other sports team, and in mma its more of a upsetting feeling then anger.

but if something with the blazers anger me it just ruins my day. i jus get pissed at anything anyone says and every past problem in the world bothers me lol. the first half of last night i was not a happy camper.

I used to let the Blazers games really affect my day and literally ruin it if they lost, which started right around the 99-00 season.
I just realized it had to stop. I am a bigger fan now I believe, but I know I have no affect on the outcome of the game, so no matter how much I scream will make them play better. Sure, I throw the slipper from time to time, but I just have learned to calm myself down.
What helps when we are getting beatdown is to get my hopes down..just think the game is over and watch it with that kind of mentality, if we lose, I was prepared, and if we win..double awesome!
I am still mos. def. emotionally invested in this team, just learned how to control those emotions in a much more positive way...if they lose..fuck it..go read, clean, play xbox, watch tv..take ur mind off of it.

I had to run 21 miles today which for me right now takes about 3 1/2 hours. That is a long damn time to try to keep your mind from going wacko... and I knew I had to keep it off the Blazers or I'd be in trouble. Thankfully I succeeded. Once I got the theme song to Gilligan's Island stuck in my head during a run and I almost had to kill myself.

It doesn't bother me much anymore (at least the next day). It used to bother me a lot as a kid, but now it's like "eh...life goes on"

Baseball irritates me more than anything when the Sox are losing. I don't know why, but its much more maddening to see them playing poorly than for the C's or Bucs.

You've obviously never been to a Raider or Eagle game.

Just yelling or cussing at the TV (or cheering wildly) is not out of control. As long as you don't pick fights with your neighbors or beat someone up or get drunk and drive home plastered or something.

Hell, I curse like a sailor watching games. Pace the floor, yell, scare my cats.
