They made the adjustments, but Thomas and Salmons are still playing like crap. And I don't understand why no one moves around when Gordon is breaking down the defense. When he is getting doubled, someone has to be open.
If ever there were a game that shows that the NBA refs favor home teams in the playoffs to extend series, this is it. There's been like five bad calls going in the Bulls favor in the last five minutes.
If the Bulls lose this game because A. Tyrus Thomas didn't try to find Ben Gordon to give him the ball to shoot our last freethrows to ice the game. B. Not guarding Ray Fucking Allen on the three point shot to tie the game C. Giving Boston the chance to beat us again The loss is well deserved if we lose. Stupid mistakes not only in game 2, but THIS game. We could be up 3 - 1 but aren't.
Both teams have farted away numerous oppurtunities and made several boneheaded plays down the stretch. IMO neither team 'deserves' to win, but one of them will. Its a miracle that its in overtime though, speaks to Chicago's inability to close.
Agreed on all accounts. I hope to God that when Paxson looks at the film from this series, in addition to seeing personnel that may need change, he sees a coach situation that does need change.
Speaking of bad coaching. How the hell don't the Celts foul Salmons. Would have been game over. Neither of these teams are contenders.
I'm going to be honest. I turned it off for the double overtime. There were so many egregious mistakes by both teams, I got angry enough to switch it. I hope that John Paxson looks at these games when the series is over and reaches the conclusion that we need new coaching blood.
If you spent that much time watching it, why not get the payoff at the end. If coaching was the only the problem with this team, Paxson would have made the switch by now. There is so much selfish play that I am shocked they pull even half of their games out. Maybe that's coaching too, but I doubt that "Move the ball on offense" isn't in bold across the top of every game plan.
