Surely the coaches see him making the most mentally challenged plays on the team. Even 19 year old international rookie Nic Batum has more basketball IQ than him. Hopefully Pritch ships his retarded ass out of Portland this summer so Nate has no choice but to actually give those minutes to someone who doesn't get confused when he counts past 3. -Pop
Really? Look up Travis' +/- numbers and free throw percentage in the 4th quarter. Sure, he occasionally hits a big shot, but if you actually have someone on the court prior to those situations who has a net positive impact on the team, we probably don't need those buckets anyway. I'm dead serious. You get Travis out of here this summer and bring back a starting-quality SF and we have 5-10 more wins. -Pop
I approve of this thread. Outlaw and Frye are the only players that actually make us worse. Frye, thankfully, doesn't play much. Outlaw, for whatever reason, gets heavy minutes instead of Batum, who should be in there to guard Wafer and Brooks (two guys that have killed us in previous games). We were lucky Wafer and Brooks didn't go off today, otherwise it would not have been close. And I say lucky, but I've seen nothing to suggest that we can actually stop those guys. And how about Aaron Brooks going JJ Barea on us on the O-boards? My goodness.
here's hoping that webster will get his minutes next year. a 4th quarter lineup up roy, rudy, webster, LA, and oden seems good to me.
Can someone please tell me why Outlaw hoisted that 3--and not Roy, Fernandez, or Blake? Unbelievable. We committed one stupid play after another in the closing minutes, and that was one of the worst ones. The Blazers did not deserve to win this game.
Outlaw has the length and quickness to own the Rockets, but for some reason he hasn't been able to except during the 1st half tonight.
Outlaw is 9-30 in the first 3 games of this series, add in game 4 and its probably 11-45...Trade him please! I can't wait for Webster
Travis had a good first 3 1/2 quarters, but that last shot is the only thing that people will remember about him in this game. Unfortunately.... fucking a...
We've been saying that all year for Travis. For some reason he can't get to the hoop vs power forward's that are slower than him.
"Why does Nate have such a hard-on for Outlaw?" Because he's the most overrated coach in the history of the Blazers. He has a mediocre winning percentage as a coach and rode career years from Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis to his current overpaid contract. He can't make adjustments on the fly and is allergic to allowing the team to run the ball.
