Wow...did he call even one foul of the Rockets? I know this loss is not all the Refs fault but my god! Monty McCutchen was calling everything against the Blazers tonight and then not calling it the same on the Rockets end.

Yeah, fuck him too. He called every single one of Greg's 5 fouls. Every single one.

Yao Ming had 1 foul in 48 minutes.

I don't give a fuck about the whistles, this is all on the Blazers getting outhustled in the fourth quarter; our guards and wings just didn't do a good enough job digging out defensive rebounds when Greg and Joel were preocuppied with Yao.

he fucked us over this game. houston went on their run once he single handly got greg and joel out of the game. we played good enough to win and the refs bent us over and screwed us..bottom line..3rd game it has happened

I don't blame refs much, but the Blazers played well enough tonight to earn a victory. Just barely. And that barely was negated because of horrible officiating throughout the entire game. That O-foul on Roy was about the only right one they had all game and it just had to come at that time...

I'm not giving excuses when the facts show he was calling everything against the Blazers. Personally the Blazers lost when Nate makes up a play for Outlaw to shoot a fast fadeaway 3 pointer with 8 seconds to go. Anyone with a brain gives the ball to Roy or Rudy!

The game is different if we can play who we want when we want. Monty was a big factor in this game...like it or not.

This was a HORRIBLY officiated game. There's absolutely no debate about it. And I'm not basing this entirely on the foul discrepancy: Throughout the whole night, there was no consistency between calls and no-calls. This same routine happened at least a half dozen times during this game for both teams:

    1. Physical play happens. Crowd and players react to no-call.
    2. Ref feels increased pressure.
    3. Ref calls ticky-tack foul on other end due to pressure.
That is just terrible officiating. Any referee who gets influenced by outside factors needs to go back to officiating high school games.

But the biggest difference was Yao. 9 fouls on our centers, 1 on him. Apparently our centers are trash and/or Yao is god's gift to this earth.

The most embarassing call was when Yao body-checked a driving Roy, yet someone Battier gets whistled for the foul.
