That's bullshit. Because of the officials we had both our big men on the bench for an 8 minute stretch of the first half, during which there was an 18 point swing. If you don't think that decided the game, you're ridiculous.

I don't know if the Blazers are better than the Rockets or not. They certainly haven't shown it so far.

Games are won on the court, not on paper. I respect the Rockets enormously. They play the game with heart and with hustle, and they are outplaying us in this series.

I'll definitely be cheering my ass off at Game 5, but this feeling right now of depression hurts... hurts a lot. I hate this feeling.

    It's all but over.

It's the Roy/Aldridge show with nobody else stepping up. You're not going to win like that in the Playoffs.

It's good to know who on our team are the guys who step up in big situations. Those are Brandon, Rudy, Greg (if the refs would ever let him play) and LaMarcus.

If you read my whole post I said that the refs didn't cost us the game.

Rudy too. Just to bad we don't give Rudy more of a chance to help.

i know. i didn't mean that about you specifically even though i quoted your post. the quote was more because you were saying that the refs weren't going to allow the blazers to win a game 6 in houston.

you must not have watched game 4 if you came away thinking the refs somehow cheated the blazers out of the game.

I think it's very hard to win a elimination game, 6 or 7 on the road because the refs tend to call more on the side of the home team regardless which teams are playing.

The refs were fine IMO except for the changing of how Greg could defend Yao from game two and three to this one.

what are you talking about? there was a five and a half minute stretch in the first half where oden and joel both were sitting because they each had two fouls. during that time the rockets outscored the blazers 15-9(and really since 2 of the rockets points were from yao free throws on oden's 2nd foul, the rockets only outscored the blazers 13-9 with both centers out of the game at that time).

but to you that is what decided the game? the game was decided when it went from a 17-15 rockets lead to a 32-24 rockets lead and there were 9 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter?

the calls favored the rockets early. they favored the blazers in the 3rd. in neither case did it decide the game.

Yeah, 3-1 sounds dismal but all it takes is a win on Tuesday at home in front of our crowd and to SOMEHOW earn our breaks down the stretch in Game 6. Then anything can happen in Game 7 at home.
I've counted out this team several times in games throughout the season, but I believe we have one last push in us. I don't think we'll fold up our tent in Game 5.

These last two games have come down to simply 3-4 possessions per game. We just need to find a way to be on the right side of those possessions.

If we look at it as having to win three games in a row, we're done. Just one game at a time baby! Home win first, then get revenge for these last two heartbreakers.

And it's on in Game 7!

Neither have you seen the Oden/Pryzbilla (spelling) hooking their hands around Yao's waist as they try and front him. I have, the other guy might not have watched the whole series - but I've been to both the Houston home games and had pretty good seats. Maybe you remember posters on TV's, mine read "CLUTCH CITY IS BACK"

...and enough with the Blazers are better than the Rockets, because so far they SURE have NOT proven it. And in order to, they will have to win the next 3 games, which I don't think is going to happen. As far as the better team right now, its definitely the Rockets, they've got 3 wins - to Blazers' 1.

But often both is true. On one hand, Oden has been a disappointment (especially tonight), but on the other hand there are reasons to have hope he'll do better. I look for the positive but I see, and won't ignore, the negative. Both are there.
