<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (GArenas @ Mar 31 2006, 02:00 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Gotta say KobeThat guy got 81 pts against the raptors for god sakes.Shaq and Kobe are both great players but Shaq wouldn't be as good if he didn't get away with so many fouls. but we can see who the true victor is if a Heat-Lakers playoff ensues.</div>You can't base this off one game. That was totally unecessary to bring up Kobe's 81. As if we don't already know about it.bc shaq gets away with alot of fouls? That's just plain childish. Everybody in the NBA gets away with fouls.

Kobe, he's accounting for roughly 40% of LA's scoring with his points and assists. And still, look at their record. What would shaq do in a team like that? He's not capable of that, imo.

People are using points such as: "Shaq is boring" and "Kobe scored 81" points to justify their reasoning. Come on boys!

A center who opens up free shots easily.... only problem this center is fallin off. This center can be more dominant but aint showin it. I'll take the center due to the lack of SKILLFUL big centers

Depends on what the team needs. Right now Kobe is a better player for the Lakers and Shaq is a better player for the Heat. Overall I would give Kobe a slight advantage due to Shaq's decline though Shaq still is dominant when he is moving well.

I would take Kobe in a second. For on ething Shaq is slowly sucking more and more, u cant escape aging. Kobe is still young, he's just getting to his best. Although Kobe isn't as dominant as shaq, Kobe can take over games when he needs to. Also, I personally think Shaq isn't all that skilled - he is a huge giant who basically puts in little 3 foot shots and dunks...wow, he's sweet. Any one tahts that big can most likely do that, u need almost no skill to do that. So I take Kobe.

You spend a dollar on a candy bar. Someone else spends a dollar on a lottery ticket and wins.Which dollar is more valuable?

I gotta say Kobe as well. Shaq is getting very old and has 2-3 years left in the tank. Kobe can score 30 points anynight and has lead his team to the playoffs this year. Plus his 81 point night, no one can beat that besides Wilt.

its got to be Kobe... The Lakers would have no1 who could get Shaq the ball, I mean Kobe is our best PG too.. Smush is just as inconcsistent as Lamar, and has been playinglike jackshit lately...so its kobe.

Yeah, Kobe. No contest. But if Shaq was in his prime it'd be a lot more of a battle

Easily Kobe, he is playing the best basketball of his career and Shaq is quickly declining..Whats intersting is that Miami will be paying him 20$ million when hes 39 years old..What will his production be 4 years from now?
