The West was extremely close seeds 2 through 7 all year and the East had huge record disparities.

Yet the three remaining West series are 3-1 and East series are 2-2.

...from top to bottom in the entire standings, the East was much stronger/more competitive overall than the West!!! :tsktsk:

When will NBA fans learn? THE PLAYOFFS ARE ALL ABOUT MATCH UPS. In a seven game series, teams expose you. They find your weaknesses and keep pushing it. They make you uncomfortable and play a game of basketball you didn't play once during the 82 game season.

In the west, it's tougher. Your team is scouted from top to bottom, and players are well aware of the favorable match ups. SA may be a little older, but they are not as bad as everyone may think. They are still the same team that finished second in the west, but Dallas has had their number all series long.

I don't know why I'm surprised the Nuggets offense demolished the Hornets.....oh wait, 58 points

Not as much, because match ups aren't as favorable. Every position is the same size and every team plays the same style of basketball.

Its like the east is a different brand of basketball. A much less competitive one. Last year, Boston let Atlanta take them to seven games and Detroit let Philly do the same. This year the Celtics are tied 2-2 with the Bulls. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce should be ashamed. But they still think it's okay as long as they win game seven. Dallas tried that crap on the Warriors and lost the series in 6.
