Bosh was hit on the thumb by teammate Pape Sow trying to corral a loose ball in the first minutes of the game in Milwaukee and was in obvious pain when he came to bench during a timeout. Taped by trainer Gregg Spratt, Bosh went to the locker room at the end of the quarter and had x-rays which turned out to be negative. The thumb has been diagnosed as a mild sprain.
