    I promised not to complain during the playoffs if we made them but you guys have done it for me. See what's funny is, all the things i said all season are showing right now. Why did i want a trade so badly? For the reasons we are struggling with the rockets. i said months ago that you need scoring from the 3. I was called a troll. I said we need to upgrade PG... and again called a troll.

    What i don't understand is that most of you felt comfortable with just making the playoffs... yet now cant come to grips with the fact the rockets are just better and more talent. Should we have won a game in Houston? YES... but we simply don't have many options if Roy and LA are struggling. i also said this was the worse match up and was again not taken seriously. Blake and Batum can get us through the season with a good record and Batum does have upside but you simply cannot have your starting SF average 5 points a night and expect to go deep in the playoffs. Not gonna happen. If batum doesnt improve on offense... hes just a decent defender. That is why we HAVE to improve at PG and SF next year to make a long run in the west.

    Anyway I think we win tonight and this season is a success either way but man... its amazing how you guys just wanted playoffs and now cant understand how we are losing. You all were so happy we didn't make a trade and wanted to develop guys like sergio. Well the truth is, by doing that... you basically said its one and done in the playoffs. Dont think others wouldn't have exposed our PG play and Sf play. You didnt want a trade in Febuary so dont cry about losing now. When we didnt make a trade... we all knew we were gonna have a very short playoff run if we made them at all. i know its hard to admit but you cant have both. What bothers me is... now KP will do this summer what he should have done at the All Star break... make a deal a vet PG or SF to get us to the next level. We knew then and we know now... outlaw and sergio aren't part of the future here.

    Good luck tonight.... i think we win.

    While the end result is on a order of magnitude less ZOMG AWFUELZZ! than Mixum made it out to be, we are talking (fairly reasonably) about what he (fairly unreasonably) posted about. Howevah, instead of taking a chance at the Al-Star break, and hoping that he was right about Blake and Outlaw, KP now has data, and a (shorter than normal) summer with a retooling Detroit and shel-shocked New Orelans to talk to.

    Data = good
    Guessing = bad
    KP = smart

    I stand by the fact that if we could have received Gerald Wallace for a combo of Batum, RLEC or Fyre that we should have done it. I don't care how good Batum has played so far, G Wallace is a borderline allstar who flirts with triple doubles frequently. Batum might be a great defender, but Wallace is such a talented player...

    Oh well, I trust KP.

    I'm guessing that the only posts Mixum read all season were from Maris. Just imagine Mixum and Maris in a room together.

    Maris: BAKE IT!

    Mixum: TRADE NOW!

    Maris: BAKE IT!

    Mixum: TRADE NOW!

    Maris: SERGIO RULES!

    Mixum: SERGIO SUCKS!

    Actually, the Blazers are much better and have more talent. They are just not playing well. You know I was all about making a trade.

    listen, we are in great shape for years assuming oden progresses and we lock up Roy and LA BUT we do need other parts to improve and thats PG AND SF. Im sure Kp will make some nice moves this summer but agian... raef is was a great chip. Also i agree on wallace. Always get a stud when you can. I doubt batum will ever be close to wallace.

    The point of this post is it seems everyones shocked we are getting exposed by the PG AND SF spots. It shouldn't be that shocking. Most didnt want a deal and this is as far as we are prob gonna get. Dont complain now. You wanted to see what you had and now you have a short playoff run. Just being fair.

    I don't think anyone is shocked. Nobody wanted the Rockets. Everyone saw the mismatch between Brooks and Blake. Blake has been a terrible perimeter defender all year, along with Sergio. Do you read anyone else on this forum Mixum? Did you see all the people who were upset that a trade wasn't made before the deadline? I think you're just trolling again, because only a blind man would think that we wanted to face the Rockets.

    Yeah I seem to recall a lot of people upset about a missed opportunity with RLEC at the trade deadline, but were understanding about not giving up Nicolas in a deal. Anyway, nice for MIXUM to show up when it's doom and gloom and we're down 3-1 in the series.

    We do have more talent. They have Yao and a bunch of role players.

    We have two legit go-to guys. Roy is one of the best 10 players in the entire league. LMA has the talent to be one of the best 5 PFs in the game (but he is having a bad series).

    When you look strictly at talent, we have it. However we are having offensive lapses.

    And I don't think it was that cut and dried. Some people WANTED a trade. Some people thought a trade would be okay, depending on who we got in return. Some people were neutral on the matter. Some people did NOT want a trade.

    Don't give ME that shit.

    a) KP was unwilling to move Batum in a trade......and I'm glad for that

    b) The Blazers could really use Martell right about now....both, offensively and defensively (Artest). I truly believe, if he were playing, it would be the Blazers that were up 3-1.

    I'm just fine with the fact that KP was patient. Naturally, he'll need to upgrade the 1 (and backup 4), but I think he's already thought of that. :)

    We do not have more talent as it sits today. Today meaning right now with no thought of how players will perform in years to come

    Yes, Aldridge HAS the talent, but it's not there yet

    Roy is TOP 10 or so talent, but so is Yao

    Their bench is also as good if not better than ours today.

    a month ago we "had one of the deepest benches in the league".

    You look at our team top to bottom, our talent is superior. I'm looking at today....again, all they have it Yao. Everyone else on their team is quite streaky and/or role players for the most part. Yao is awesome.....Artest is pretty good offensively and a defensive stud...after that what. Von Wafer? Chuck Hayes? Shane Battier?

    Roy and Aldridge overall > Yao and Artest

    add that we have Pryzbilla, Oden, Rudy...Outlaw is one of the highest scoring bench guys in the league. Blake HAD been a decent PG.......

    I truly believe we have much more talent, our problem is executing as a team, for which the Rockets are superior....we have the skills, they have the team play and defense.
