http://www.freep.com/article/20090428/SPORTS01/904280343 Wake Forest receiver D.J. Boldin, the younger brother of star Arizona receiver Anquan Boldin, has agreed to a deal with the Lions, his agent confirmed, after going undrafted over the weekend. Boldin led the Demon Deacons with 81 catches for 848 yards and three touchdowns last season. The Lions have brought in at least three other undrafted rookies. Ball State center Dan Gerberry and Northwestern defensive tackle John Gill agreed to deals, their agents confirmed. Alabama-Birmingham kicker/punter Swayze Waters agreed to a deal, according to the Oakland Press. The team will not confirm the signings until they are official, likely Thursday. The Lions will hold a rookie minicamp Friday through Sunday. The Lions also claimed offensive tackle Kirk Barton off waivers from Cincinnati. Barton was with four teams in 2008 -- Chicago, San Francisco, Miami and Cincinnati -- and played one game for the Bears. Chicago drafted him in the seventh round last year out of Ohio State.
