Man I fucking want this one. They were so close in the last two, I think they can pull it off. Let's hope that Houston remains cursed in the postseason. This is going to be tough and a lot will depend on the officials. But if some out our guys can step up and Roy shakes the flu, this team can rock the rockets.
I'm already pumped for this game. I'm hoping Yao is starting to wear down, but I feel Blake and Roy may be also. Aldridge is just a freak. He never looks very tired form what I can tell.
I kind of expected this for Houston going in, but that 15-0 run must have deflated Houston's spirits. Let's see if the Rockets can rebound from that. Getting out to a big lead will be key for Houston in Game 6; we just don't play well when down in the fourth quarter.
Roy...wearing down????? If he's wearing down after 5 freakin' games then we are screwed for the next decade. Was MJ ever worn down? Kobe worn down? LeBron worn down? He needs to step the heck up and be the man we need him to be on Th. LA too.
More like his first time playing this many games in a season. It's not just after 5 games. He still scored 25pts.
After missing the playoffs for 6 seasons, I was a little worried that the Blazers would be 4 and out. This has been a very good series so far. Your guys are so god dammed physical it's hard for our 'soft' players, but I think that this is a good experience. And, unlike this morning, I am starting to think the Blazers actually have a shot. I think you are right about an early lead. For both teams, I think an early lead may seal the deal. These are two tired clubs, and although the Blazers play good from behind on our home court, that's not the case on the road.
Haha, that was extremely surprising, I doubt we can get that lucky again though. The Rockets tend to panic a lot when time's running out and there's a deficit, and with no clear closer on the team, it's really hard to stop another team's run, like we saw tonight.
Fully agree. Game 1 was like a crash course in playoff intensity basketball, and it couldn't have come against a better teacher. Win or lose, this series is providing lessons that our guys will take with them for the rest of their careers. Brings a little tear to my eye...
I wanted to read clutchfans to hear their reaction on the game(I can probably guess pretty well what it is), but you have to be logged in, and I'm not going to create a name on there. Oh well.
Game SIX BABY!!! I'm bummed I couldn't watch the game tonight. Actually, both wins I haven't been able to watch. Hmmmm. Maybe I should take a pass on game six.
Good luck to the Blazers! It'll be a heck of a game. But coming from a die-hard Rockets fan. I've been through the up and downs. The Dallas series which went 7 games, the Utah series that went 7 games. This is our moment, we need this! We've always lost these so called "game clinching" games that could possibly send us in the 2nd round over and over. I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets totally break down in the end. But I'm expecting a neck to neck, toe to toe Game 6. Hopefully, the Rockets finally get over the hump and win this. I would hate for this series to go back to come back to Portland. We need to win this game, and I expect a full fought 48 minutes game. Good luck to ya fellas!
Thanks, and same to you. I hear you about the 1st round struggles for the Rockets -- you all have had a rough stretch in the postseason, and have certainly paid your dues. If you were playing against any other Western conference opponent I'd be casually hoping for you to advance. Of course, for selfish reasons I'm hoping Houston's curse continues, but if your guys do come out on top I will curse loudly and then wish 'em the best. Here's to balanced officiating and no more injuries!
