Even more nervous than that game, because this team has a future..but still I already have the butterflies. I really do not want this to be the last game of the season!!!! Anyone else got the nerves? The time is crawling right now GO TRAIL BLAZERS!!!
Definite nerves. Way more than Dallas game #7. But not as nervous as Lakers game #7 (yeah, that one).
If this team had that Scottie Pippen, Portland would already have won this series and would have a solid chance against the Lakers. The upgrade from Batum to Pippen...
I'm just going to enjoy this game. I fell less nervous about it than Game 5. The way I look at it, the Blazers have already shown the heart and effort to make this a competitive series. If they lose, que sara, sara. If they win, it's a bonus and I'll definitely be looking to the next round against the Lakers.
Agree with ABM on this one.. as the countdown clock started when I was at game 5.. my heart was racing.. we NEEDED that one for our psyche (sp?) this one I feel like we know we can hang with them, we just needed to see the bounces to go our way once.
That's why I would like to get someone like Scottie Pippen in the offseason. Maybe not necessarily a small forward, but maybe a point guard like Jason Kidd, Andre Miller, or Mike Bibby.
i think the blazers deserve a standing ovation for this season. no matter what happens... this was one of the most special seasons that any fan could have been a part of. good luck to them tonight.
Just remember, you owe me beers. I'm in the process of moving to Portland, so it may take awhile. I have the memory of an elephant, though.....so it will happen. Trust me, it will happen.
Have to agree. Winning 54 games was beyond my expectations. Making the playoffs was also a great accomplishment. And winning 2 games in the first round has been better than some thought we would do. Whatever happens tonight, it's been a fantastic season--and next year is only going to be better! Go Blazers!!!
