i'd still root for the rockets over la (as any good blazer fan should). but i just don't really care enough about the rest of the nba. i may catch the tail end of a game here or there but won't set my schedule to watch any game.
in the western conference, the blazers had the best shot at taking out the lakers. the rockets have a shot but that all depends on ron artest. but the lakers definitely aren't rolling through the cavs. this is lebron's year.
if the lakers make it to the finals to play the cavs, we can have any kind of sig or avatar bet you want. the cavs will be winning.
Sure, but either way it doesn't make sense. The Cavs aren't the champs and they haven't played well against LA; the onus is on them. I don't think the Cavs could win a game in Houston either, they're pretty bad on the road (edit- against good teams).
the cavs have the 2nd best road record in the league, just two games behind the lakers. and what doesn't make sense is the idea that you have to be the champs already to win a championship. if so, let's just hand the title to the celtics right now.
And they have one or two quality road wins all season (Blazers/Nuggets?), against every other contender they got outplayed.
if you say so. they won road games against san antonio, portland, utah, dallas, and denver along with atlanta and miami. depends on what you consider quality.
You're definitely reaching with some of these. Wow SA this year that got beat in five by the Mavericks and were hardly healthy? It isn't 2007. Blazers are a solid, young team, I forgot about them. They took Cleveland to OT in the Cav's house, I'll give them credit for that. They're better than the Nuggets probably. Atlanta/Miami are a joke to mention. They're not even in the playoffs in the West.
i'm not reaching at all. i simply named the best teams they've beaten on the road(though i excluded the suns) and said it depends on what you consider quality. and i disagree that the hawks and heat are a joke in their buildings(the lakers actually lost their road games to each of them).
Right, not much quality. Getting blown out by a couple of those elite teams also doesn't help. Losing to the Bobcats like the Lakers do sometimes, also means nothing, we are talking about overall trends in this instance. Looking at their overall body of work, the Cavs are a weak road team for a number one seed.
I'm rooting for the Lakers. Why? Well if my Blazers can't be in it, the only thing that intrigues me is watching an LA-CLE final. Do I hate the Rockets? No, not really. I kind of have a beef with Houston fans at the games who I thought were classless at certain times. I am tired of Adelman's constant bitching. I also thought Yao's bitching showed he is a coward. Von Wafer needs to show me he can play well against someone not in a Blazers uniform. So, I don't hate the Rockets, but I aint fond of them either.
