I'm hoping that Outlaw, Frye, and Rodriquez will be gone next year.

I had hope for Frye. I was hoping he'd be that guy we could bring off the bench and nail mid-range jumpers like McDyess did for Detroit.

He loves Portland, it's just a shame he's a horrific basketball player.

Frye played when we were in foul trouble. Each game we were in foul trouble...we lost.

I thought you guys liked Sergio? What's this all about? Send him to Toronto to be Calderon's apprentice.

Sergio has sub par defense and we don't run a lot and don't have a lot of cutters or movement in the offense so Sergio's greatest assets are not put to use here sadly.

Do ya'll have cap space? If you guys can take more cap space on we will trade you Sergio for nothing but cap space! Sergio is alright and may do well in Toronto's system... but if you give him 15mpg as a backup every game he wont' get you more than 6 and 5 max, which isn't bad, but we have Bayless and Blake... Sergio just doesn't really work for this team.

Frye, Ruffin, Randolph, Sergio I think are def. gone (Sergio may demand a trade anyway like last year lol)... I think Outlaw and Webster are on the fence, I would trade both for an upgrade... Outlaw/Webster/1st for Battier/Landry would be tight.

    Blake | Bayless
    Roy | Rudy
    Battier | Batum
    Aldridge | Landry
    Oden | Przybilla

what do ya'll think? I'd do that or I'd love to do a trade with Golden State for Turiaf/Ellis. I'd also want to sign Sessions for 9mil/yr.

For who? Outside of Bosh I'm not seeing too many players that the Blazers would covet. But hell, if you're willing to take him off our hands for nothing I'd probably bite.

Frye did not step up his game at all in a contract year, and it was disappointing especially after all the hard work he put in to get in shape in for training camp. Then he had that injury and it was downhill from there.
He'd probably have a better career in broadcasting, so maybe the Blazers can hire him for that and he could still live in Portland.

There is a reason that we called Frye "Charmin" this year. As in, "Don't squeeze the Charmin", because he is as soft as toilet paper. He is a cool dude. Just not a very good basketball player for this team.

I wonder how he got so bad. Every year coaches and trainers rave about his work ethic and he seems to just get worse. He was great during his rookie year, but maybe that knee injury he got is the cause for it?

When questioned about what the team needs on hoops hype, Roy kind of skirted it for a bit, and then mentioned "We need a Banger to back up Aldridge." I think that pretty much sealed the deal. I wouldn't worry about this one.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Probably. From what I saw of Channing in college and in his rookie year, he had more of an ability to attack the hoop. His knee injury has probably sapped his athleticism, making him less able to get to the hoop and to get rebounds. He's become purely a jump-shooter, and he doesn't have the shooting touch to be good just from that.

There are physical aspects, but I would imagine it's a mind set as much as anything.

Even in college, he had the "soft" label applied. I didn't watch him play a ton, but from what I remember reading he floated a lot, which given his size and ability is inexcusable in college.

I would have rather had Diogu in this series as the emergency big off the bench. At least he would have pushed some people around...

I like Sergio. I'm not quite sure why so many people are down on him, but I think he's still got a lot of potential as a starting PG in the NBA and am in no rush to move him at all.

I like Sergio too. He is a fantastic translator and he has made Rudy's transition so much better - but we no longer need these services. We need a reliable backup point guard that can score consistently, protect the ball and play defense - Sergio does none of these things.

I like him as a change of pace guy off the bench, but I just don't ever see him as a starter with his defense, balky jumper and inability to finish at the cup.
