yeah, but i thought he is gonna be staying in college for another year?but even if he is entering, they could trade one with their pick this year or something and move up in the draft.
A 2006 late first round pick and a 2007 late first round pick (assuming the Suns win a ton of games next year) would not be enough to get into the top 3 picks to get LaMarcus Aldridge. I don't think the Suns are in that dire need to go to all that trouble when almost any team could offer a better deal. Almost every team would want Aldridge...Makes no sense.
the hawks will have prolly two top ten picks from the hawks, so they will be able to pick him. it isnt out of question. i think lamarcus would be a nice complament to amare.

A 2007 and a 2008 i believe. I'm saying there are two senerios:A) LaMarcus Aldridge enters 2006 draft, and the suns trade one of the future picks along with this years pick, and trade up to take him.ORB) LaMarcus Aldridge enters 2007 draft and they use the pick on him. the chances of the Hawks having a late first round pick either of those seasons is very minimal. Both will prolly be top ten picks. if LaMarcus Aldridge enters 2007 draft, he will prolly slip since this draft will be rich with talent. The Suns will be in prime postion to take him
BCB, I think you seriously undervalue Aldridge. He's not quite refined yet, hense the reason he's staying in school, but he'd be no worse than a guy like Bosh or Dwight Howard when they came out.He does have a nice set of skills, offensively and defensively, even if it's a bit raw.He does have a nice jumper, and hook, and I've seen tons of games where he's taken over, and has gone to the rim strong, but he could use a little more practice on his outside range. But defensively the guy is a beast, especially as a shot blocker, the guy gets some of the best blocks I've seen in college these days.
He should 'dominate' college basketball, their is almost nobody near his size that is talented enough to defend him because the NCAA is watered down.

Aldridge can't average a double-double in college. Whywouldhe dothat in the pros as a rookie?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Texas' Aldridge seeking agent, leaning toward NBA Draft Texas sophomore center LaMarcus Aldridge has spoken with coach Rick Barnes about entering the NBA Draft, and as a result of their conversation, Aldridge is making inquiries about agents. Aldridge has not formally entered his name into the NBA Draft pool, and even if he does, he could return to school if he maintains his eligibility. However, signing with an agent would be an irreversible move into professional basketball. Aldridge, whom Texas lists at 6-foot-10 but who is closer to 7-0, averaged 15 points and 9.2 rebounds for the 30-7 Longhorns. He would become a candidate for the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, depending on which teams wins the lottery and which other early entrant candidates -- Florida's Joakim Noah? -- go into the draft. Even without Aldridge, Texas would enter next season as a likely preseason top five team assuming junior P.J. Tucker and sophomore Daniel Gibson -- neither of whom is a certain first-round pick -- return. Aldridge's position would be filled ably by 6-10 freshman Kevin Durant, the most impressive player at last week's McDonald's All-American game.</div> LINK
