Starting LineupsDelonte West vs. Stephon MarburyWe know Marbury can be explosive, but he is averaging four points below his average this season. He is a scorer at heart but he can be a very effective point guard running the pick and roll. If he's not in a selfish mood he can also be an amazing passer. Truth is, he's not playing good this year and his feud with Larry Brown is reaching epic porportions. Look for Delonte to take the edge in tonight's matchup.Wally Sczcerbiak vs. Steve FrancisWally is bigger, Francis is smaller, quicker, and more versatile. Look for Stevie Franchise to take Wally to the hole off the dribble and look for Wally to post up on Francis. Francis has been averaging pathetic numbers in NY when you compare him to what he did in Orlando. He doesn't get the ball as much and doesn't play as much minutes as he did with the Magic. Look for each player to go to their strengths and use them all night long.Paul Pierce vs. Jalen RoseThis is a joke of a matchup, Jalen likes to go to his offense first but he's very old now and that offense isn't what it used to be. He's a notorious weak defender and that's exactly what you don't want when your matching up against Paul Pierce. Look for Pierce to take advantage of this obvious mis-match. Although Pierce has been struggling down the stretch lately, I'm pretty sure he'll have his way with Jalen Rose.Ryan Gomes vs. Malik RoseThese guys are both very similar players with similar workhorse attitudes. Both weren't given any respect coming out of college and have made a name for themselves doing the same things. Although Gomes's scoring has dropped off, his rebounding numbers have been superb. Look for this to be a tough, hard-nosed matchup.Raef LaFrentz vs. Eddy CurryThis is probably the only matchup that puts a smile on Larry Brown's face. Obviously Curry is better around the hoop, stronger, and can do more with the ball on the low post. Raef's only hope is to somehow play around the permiter all night long but the only way that can work is if the C's are moving the ball around very well. If that can happen, it would create a lot of space down low and the Celts could have a big night with the guards penetrating. Also, I wouldn't be suprised if Kendrick gets the nod at starting center around gametime. His body frame is very similar to Curry's and would probably matchup better against Curry than Raef.Celtics at New York7:30 PM

We match up well, this should be a win. There's never an excuse to lose to the Knicks.

if the knicks play the lineup of nate, crawford, woods, lee and butler watch out. those group of guys really play well together. it's also at the garden and hopefully the knicks will show something to the fans.

guys, please don't jinx us.. :lol:but really, we should win this one. If we play like i know we can, there's no way we will lose. If we play down to the cometition like we often do, it should be a game. This one is for pride.

Well, i guess you could say we started off well offensively. :lol:but seriously, we can't let them back in this. We can't settle for jumpers to start the half. We'll have to cool down ventually if we keep shooting jumpers. The defense has also been pretty bad.Everybody is contributing tonight, even Scabs and Gerald.we're shooting 58.7%. WOW, and that's while not even converting on quite a few fastbreaks. We had a pretty bad stretch in the middle (the knicks got within 10), but Paul came back in and lit up Jalen Rose. he has 17 right now.we've got to keep this up. I don't want to come back upstairs in a bad mood.

123-98 FINAL.believe it or not, i was disgusted with the last few minutes of the game. No one was executing on offense, they were playing lazy, and i don't like that at all. They need to prove that they deserve time, and they didn't do that. They made this game seem alot closer than it was, or should have been. We honestly should have won by atleast 40.oh well, good game overall. we couldn't play defense, but the knicks defense was bad enough for us to take the win.
