You can place votes (out of 10 octagons) for 177 fights on Spike's Ultimate 100 website to help determine the top-100 fights of all time for the UFC. Some odd choices in there, though...
from what I saw it was most if not all of the fight cards, but I only checked out the last few UFC's.
Guida vs. Diaz was pretty uneventful, it doesn't deserve to be even be mentioned on there. Why not put a fight like Hammmil vs. Munoz on there instead? Very surprizing outcome from a wrestler, and there aren't all that many headkick KOs in the UFC.
Hard to rank a quick knockout or submission alongside a great back-and-forth battle. Are we ranking fights or moments? Like, you can compare Irvin/Alexander to Silva/Jardine, but how do you compare either of those fights to Jackson/Griffin?
I don't believe there is any criteria. for me it had to be a good back and forth war, a meeting of two top shelf fighters that was at least decent or an exciting finish like Gonzaga/Cro-Cop. I've gone through all 18 pages too now.. I forget a lot of those fights
Luke Cummo vs. Ediberto Crocata (sp?) is in there. One of the most bizarre fights ever. Very much like Paulo Filho's last fight.
Someone on Shitdog noted that the list doesn't include Frank Shamrock/Tito Ortiz. Granted, Dana hates both fighters, but it is a memorable and important fight for the company.
