I thought this was just great analysis from David Thorpe on the upcoming series. He's one of the few writers outside of Houston/Portland that actually understood why Yao Ming was held to 15/10. He picks Lakers in 6, a reasonable pick, but he backs it up with real insight.

He usually posts Scouting Breakdown Previews before each game (he did so for our first round series), so check those out.

Why does everyone say the Lakers have a very deep bench?

Who is coming off of there bench? Bynum, Sasha, Walton, Powell, Shannon, and Daco.

Our bench has to show up in this series, I'm expecting a big game from Landry!

I think a better word would be versatile. I think the Lakers have the most versatile roster in the league which allows them to take advantage of matchups, especially in a 7 game series.

If it were a starting 6 line up, the Lakers would easily have the best.

    Bynum
    Gasol
    Odom
    Ariza
    Kobe
    Fisher

But that is not the case. They have the best player in the game, and the best starting 5. There bench is nothing special.

Versatile is a much better word. They can go quick with Gasol and Odom or big with Bynum.

6 more hours until the game!
