I usually feel this way long-about late-August - draft is done, most off-season moves have been made - a total dearth of Blazer happenings. Argh! I don't want to wait until the draft before we get something interesting happening. Boredom. Boredom. Boredom. I want substantive Blazer info - not just predictions of what should happen or what we think will or ought to happen. Gramps...
I feel you. In the past, I would need a month to get over the team not making the playoffs, so I was generally happy to take a breather, but now I'm craving more. I want to see how we build on this season. I want to know how we're going to address our issues at the one and three. I'm wondering if we'll make trades or sign free agents. Will we make another splash in the draft? So many questions...
I'm going through the same thing . . . almost a burn out feeling after a fun and intense season. I probably need as much of a break from basketball as most of the Blazer players do. Although I'll take boredom over what i was feeling like this weekend. I went bowling and on one screen they had the Dallas/Denver game . . . and all I could think of was "what if" . . . what if Finley misses that 3 or NO makes a damn free throw. I'm convinced it would be a Ptd/ Denver series where the Blazers would be giving Denver everythin they could handle (and then some). So I'm mostly burnt out and bored with basketball . . . except when I get pissed about what could have been.
Log off of S2 . . . Step away from the computer . . . there, that's not so bad is it? Now go camping, or to a pub, or mountain climbing, or to a movie, or on a date, or play a sport, ride a bike, call a friend, read a book, paint a painting, clean your closet, go shopping, fix that broken whatever, take a trip, go to a movie, hit the beach, catch a concert, learn to surf, get a life . . . . It's okay to dive in to to the occasional trade update, draft update, etc. but don't torment yourself - it's five months man. Okay, that's just me anyway. Go ahead and torment yourself if you want. See y'all in the fall.
