They showed footage of Tyrus coming out of the game and run by Vinny and smack him on the ass, like a pat on the butt but harder. Vinny says something to Lindsay Hunter and then Lindsay walks down to Tyrus and says something to him and him and Tyrus have words. So maybe that's why he got 17 minutes, cause it's not like VDN hasn't played guys 35+ minutes even when they were playing bad. Clearly it pissed off VDN, and he's a players coach. Maybe not a big deal, but maybe it is. Either way it's fun to discuss. lol.
Sam Smith said the Bulls will try to trade Thomas this summer, with a 50/50 chance of him being moved. I wouldn't be shocked if they dump Thomas on a team with capspace or trade exception for a first round pick, and then re-sign Gordon, as you now have proper breathing room under the salary cap.
Wow Sam Smith really going out on a limb there, 5/50 chance... lol he annoys me, I've stopped reading his column. I still can't believe he wasn't traded at the deadline when his stock was high with a few teams. Big mistake.
You could see the frustration building in Tyrus all series long. Most of it is immaturity. It's the playoffs and you need to do what it takes to win. If that means convincing yourself that every brick is just a pass to you off of the front of the rim, then do that. Don't stand around and pout because you're open and nobody is looking. Tyrus has come a long way and I think he could be a good player in this league, but not if he doesn't get his head straight.
Sam has had the Bulls shopping Tyrus for years. He must figure...why quit now, I'm bound to be right sooner or later.
Heh, the only time he quit was for the two weeks he played well and then suddenly that was supposed to give us pause before trading Tyrus for Amare. I'm going on vacation tomorrow, and won't have much net access for the next couple weeks (again). One thing I won't miss is Sam Smith.
I don't think Thomas will be with the team next season and if he is, he'll be traded by the deadline. The Bulls weakest postion is Free Money at the PF spot. Yeah, he's talented......in spurts but he's not consistant by any means. When he's good I love watching him, hands down the most exciting guy in Chicago. This is why I'd really like to see the Bulls pick up DeJuan Blair in the draft. Yeah, he's undersized but he's a workhorse and he gets rebounds/has decent post moves. This would let them move Thomas and get a decent back up for Derrick Rose if they decide to get rid of Hinrich's contract.
I'd much rather keep Thomas for 1 more year and see if he can improve than lock down our backup pg spot and rely on a late draft pick to be our 3rd big.
