Yes they will. I do. You just said you're rooting for them. Most likely years of Laker hatred, and you're actually going to root for them because of a few ignorant fans in Houston. Rooting against a team because of their fans, but then choosing to root FOR the Lakers? Isn't that like not wanting a tattoo, because it will hurt, and then electing to just brand yourself on the arm instead? Just wow. :sigh:

I'd root for Allen freaking Iverson to marry my sister and cut me out of his will before I'd root for the L*kers to win a game, even if it was played against the Gitmo Solitary Confinement Cell Block All-Stars.

I agree. Adelman has always been a class act, and I will always feel a certain debt towards him for all the happy memories he gave us as our coach. His players, even Artest, seem to be taking their cue from him.

The drunken rednecks Barrett describes are probably just bandwagon jumpers anyway. They are probably the same people who booed the Rockets when they lost in the first round in years past.

Just because you want Houston to lose more than anything else, doesn't mean you're rooting for LA. In the end, who cares? Cuz I expect the winner to come from the East (Cleveland).

Class act as in having to go public and cry about officiating, even while the officiating was in their favor? Yes, class act. Rick Adelman has had the talent to win championships before. He does not have the cajones to take it over the top.

I've been to Texas dozens of times and never thought that...the southern states in general have a friendly, polite manner.

Have your boss try New Jersey, New York or Boston. Rude is a way of life.

Can't speak for Boston, but I've been to New York several times and had no trouble. Just have to remember everyone is in a hurry and if you stop someone will go right over you.

I'm pulling for Houston. A handful of fans might have been jerks but now that I'm a week away from the series the bottom line for me is I think the Rockets franchise/players/coaches are all pretty classy. Yao giving an encouraging pat GO on the back after he made a good play. Battier has always been a favorite player of mine since before he was drafted. He's just so smart and gracious. Artest's remarks after Game 6 telling his own fans that they needed to be more respectful of the Blazers. Aaron Brooks is a hometown guy.

In fact, the way they're playing the Lakers makes me feel a whole lot better about getting eliminated... they are a very very good team. I think they have a chance to advance to play the Nuggets and I think that would be a heck of a series.

I love how Wheels put it in the broadcast of Game 1, when Adelman was still whining at the refs despite being up 30: "This guy is the biggest beggar I've ever seen-he'd beg and whine at his own wedding!" LOL:lol:

I am mystified that any Blazer fans would support the Lakers. I just can't wrap my head around it.

I always support whatever team is playing the Lakers. Unless it is Boston. Then I hope for career ending injuries for all players involved, so that both teams manage to loose.

In a word, fuck Wheels. Adelman did more for this franchise than Wheels could do in 10 lifetimes.

Adelman has learned to play the game. After being taken advantage of by Phil Jackson a few too many times, he has decided to sacrifice image for what works. I wish Nate would learn to swallow his pride and work the refs a little!

Well, if you want to talk class, comparing Adelman to Phil Jackson - it's a no-brainer. When it comes to whining because his players got brushed with a fingernail, Jackson has no peer.

Is this thread serious? Let's hate an entire city, its fans, and its team because their is a rumor some fan might have dropped the N"" bomb.

What's funny is all the racist shit said to Yao, Artest, Battier, Scola, and Adelman. Rather than bitch about it, it fuels them.

Adelman? Really? Yeah, he sure does have it tough ... what with being a middle-aged white male.

Well, when Adelman was coaching Sacramento, that really class act Phil Jackson compared him to Hitler, because Adelman is of German descent and has a mustache. I kid you not. Perhaps not racist but pretty vulgar & offensive.

I just listened to that Courtside broadcast this morning. I was embarrassed to be a Blazer fan. Mike and Mike sounded like idiots.
