I gotta admit I loved seeing them putting a sock in the mouths of the classless Rocket fans. Too bad it wasn't us.

PS - that flagrant 2 on Artest might be the worst call of the playoffs so far.

I didn't care for Houston much last week, but for goodness sake, they're playing the L*kers. I say Go Rockets.

I'm not rooting for the L*kers, I wanted to but I just couldn't. But it's not as hard to take L*ker wins when they are against Houston.

who cares, I'm pullin' for Houston. I don't hate them with the passion some do around here though.

Not really. I actually like the majority of the Rocket players, it's their fans I've grown a great distaste for, minus a few.

So a few clownish Rocket fans are enough to make you blow up and say 'fuck Houston, go Lakers'.

    Interesting.

Where the hell did I say 'go Lakers'? Did you even read the title of my thread? Please don't put words in my mouth.

Sorry, got you confused with mr. sodapop.

Still, I can't see the rationale behind being satisfied with a Laker victory just because of a few bonehead fans in Houston.

I just like to watch good ball, and the Lakers/Rockets series is indeed a good one. Battier defends Kobe about as good as you can (they really don't use Artest on him a lot until late or the matchups are right.) and yet Kobe is just throwing daggers. What I am finding interesting is Houstons bench isn't performing as well against LA's bench, and a lot of that has to do with defense. They just aren't getting those shots they got against us, and are at best, usually limited to one half of good play per game instead of 2.

I kept telling Houston fans to enjoy getting the calls in the Blazers series, cuz once they get to LA, they will get nothing. So far, it's gone exactly as expected.

Now they know how it feels to be on the short end of the officiating stick.

It was a flagrant 2 because Ron Artest did it. Don't you understand the way calls are made? It doesn't matter what happened, only who did it.

David Stern needs to be shit canned before he completely destroys my favorite sport.

L*ker hatred is a moral imperative, and is not subject to conditional modifiers. Go Rockets!

Honestly, this isn't an attack, it's a serious question. Isn't it the mindset that allows you to "grow a great distaste for" an entire fanbase because a few of them are racist knuckleheads the exact same mindset that allows those racist knuckleheads to "grow a great distaste for" an entire race?

It's not a "few". It's pretty much the whole damn city of Houston.

None of these games have been decided by the officials...they can actually do their job most of the time

No, the refs haven't decided the games thus far. But Artest should not have been ejected in Game 2, even LA players didn't think he should have been ejected. And that was no flagrant 2 on Artest. Bynum's foul on G. Wallace was far worse. My point is all the little things that Houston got going their way in the Portland series, those have all gone against them in the LA series. Luckily, the 3 games in this series haven't come down to the final play, or you'd have people constantly pointing at the officiating.

BTW, it's pretty easy to say the refs are doing their jobs most of the time for LA fans.
