I would pick the Kings since they picked up Ron Artest. The lakers are very streaky but I see the kings winning more in the long run. The lakers rely too much on Kobe.

Imma gonna be a lil bias and say Kings. Plus the Lakers this year have been carried by KB unlike the Kings as previously mentioned.

Kings better all around lineup, Ron Artest is a great perim. defender and they are a great shooting team. They could take out the Lakers in a 7 game series. Ron Artest would tire out Kobe then they'd have virtually nothing.

Kings. They actually play like a team. They have Artest, Bibby, Shareef, Bonzi, Brad and Kenny.I agree with CB...Artest would tire Bryant down.

In the last month it has not been all kobe, Kwame and odom have arrived. You could've said that in january where kobe averafed 43 in one month but it has changed, for the better. And this month we've solidifed our spot in the playoffs are infront of the kings by a couple of games. The only reason why the kings have tied the series with us because of odom's blunder early on in the season.Lakers> Kings.

That is partly because the Kings got off to a horrible start before they had Artest, they needed some perimeter defense badly. They are a much better team then they were before and one of the hottest teams in hte League.

I'll go with the Kings too. They're just simply a more well-rounded team. The Lakers have some talented players in Kobe and Odom, but after that they have a few holes and even Odom is pretty inconsistent. Also, the Kings have a very solid starting 5 which probably beats the Lakers in every position besides SG obviously.

When healthy, definitely the Kings. They don't really have any holes, and now w/ Artest they have some perimiter defense. They have players that fit their style and they play like a team. just compare:Mike Bibby, Bonzi Wells, Ron Artest, Kenny Thomas, Brad Miller, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Kevin Martinvs.Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, Chris Mihm, Smush Parker, Brian Cook.

What are you talking about the hottest team in the league? Since their five game winning streak they've lost 5 won 3. That isn't hot.Artest's D is also overrated i've noticed. The only reason in one game he played well against kobe was because kobe was in a slump [he was not playing well even before the game]. The other times he couldn't stop kobe. He said that also mind you.Their team looks very good on paper but it's all on paper. Odom is also a key against these guys and Kwame always abuses their interior. And Kwame starts now at center Dogma.

This thread was a homerism test. Who picked the lakers are obviously biased. A lineup of Bibby, Wells, Artest, Thomas, and Miller along with their bench is obviously better than the lakers and are a threat to any team that meets them in the playoffs. The only team they can't matchup with is the Spurs.

When the Lakers play well like they should every single night, the Lakers will beat them most of the time. When the Lakers function the triangle offense the way its suposed to be played, they're the superior team. Kobe usually is the playmaker in those games, and Lamar is scoring, showing off his versatility. Kwame is crashing the boards and getting easy buckets and dunks. SMush is doing his job of ball dsitributor. I've seen games like that where the Lakers are flawless. Especially one like that when they were playing the Kings. the Kings have a better lineup with Miller, Shareef Abdur Rahim, Mike Bibby, Bonzi, Ron Artest and other players like Kevin Martin and stuff but the Lakers can play better when they're hot. Kobe's not as good a defender as Ron but he's a great perimeter defender too, as shown by his numerous all defensive team selections. and the lakers have the better coach phil jackson, and right now have the better record. also, by next year i think the triangle offense will work better, lamar will start playing consistent, and kwame will improve like he has so far in this past month. Lakers can beat them in a 7 game series because kobe is just so crazy good that he can easily penetrate and score the easy bucket or if he's going up against someone like miller in the post, kick it out to the side for odom to drive in. the lakers are irritating as <Censored> when they're good and kobe would drive even artest crazy. so im going for lakers. plus the fact that i'm a lakers fan.
