Artest also has problems guarding melo. I just think his defense is overrated in someways.Secondly Lakers on paper don't look like they matchup with the kings but it's all paper. Kwame destroys them because their interior is weak. Artest cannot guard kobe. Odom when he's playing correctly is hard to stop. This isn't a homer test, i'm suprised you called it one when you're the biggest homer on this board [mavsfan]. Saying the lakers could beat the kings in a series is possible.

How does Kwame destroy them? dude, he has had like five good games in his career. He would not be nearly as effective as you think. Brad Miller would terrorize the Lakers defense, as would Mike Bibby, Bonzi Wells, etc. IMO, Bonzi Wells is one of the most underrated talents in the league. He is one of the best rebounding guards in the league, he has one of the best post up games in a guard, he can shoot the 3-ball, defend.

He's not one of the best.. there's Paul Pierce, T-Mac, LeBron, Kobe than I guess you can throw him in.

Kwame's new found mental strength will make him destroy the kings. They could not stop him, their interior defense is not very Good. Kenny thomas only plays well on D when he gets alot of touches. Brad Miller would terrorize the Lakers defense, as would Mike Bibby, Bonzi WellsSo would Kobe and Odom. And?The lakers on paper don't look good enough to beat the kings in a series but it's all on paper. I think everything depends on Odom, if he decides to play well and be agressive.edit: Kwame's problems have been all mental, it;s not that he can't play basketball.

First of all, wouldn't that make him one of the best? Second of all, He's averaging more rebounds than all of them (LeBron is a Forward, not Guard)!! He's almost avering 8 rpg now.

That is false, that just means he's rebonding well this season. He's a career average 4.6, Paul pierce career average is 7.One season doesn't mean he's a better rebounder.

Well, he's a better rebounder NOW, so..and as for your arguments on the Kings only being better on paper, i didn't base any of this on paper. They have more talent and they work better as a team in a system. They have more options on offense and more depth.

Well all their talent and options and teamwork don't seem to be paying off... even with Artest. Either Hornets catch up and get the 8th spot, or the Kings stay with it, either way I think Lakers can catch up to Memphis for the 6th spot, which would be a series we can win, against Denver.

No way the Hornets catch the 8 spot. They are 5 games behind now.

They're actually 2 games behind. And the Kings don't look too promising right now. Anyways there are two match-ups between the Kings & Lakers in April so that should decide it.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Were not cayching up to memphis, their schedule isn't hard. The Clippers are definitely keeping that 5th seed. I see the kings passing the Lakers. The final seedings for the playoffs. 1. SAS2. Pho3. Denver4. Dal5. LAC6. Mem7. Sac8. LAL. Since the lakers still have the lead it will go down to the end but I see Sac taking the 7th seed.

^exactly. mavs fan said it perfectly, this was a "homerism test". No one in their right mind would say the Lakers are better, only Lakers homers.

Dude, the Kings have a much better all around team. Ron Artest would tire Kobe out and I doubt he would get more then 30. Then who do they have? Odom? He is inconsistent. kings have a much better all around team.

Add in the fact that he was in a slump the second two games and I can't see how Ron Artest could tire Kobe out.

Becuase Artest is the best perimeter defender in the League. That is 2 games so what. Are you sure Ron was guarding Kobe and it wasn't Bonzi Wells?
