It should have ended in 5, especially after Yao got injured. Much props to Houston for pushing the Lakers to the limits though. I think most teams would've folded after their star player went out and they were behind already in a series. Win or lose tonight, I think Houston has put themselves in prime position to attract free agents willing to play hard for Adelman. It's also great to see the coverage Shane Battier is receiving.
Then you sir, are not a diehard fan. They stick by the team, win or lose. They don't jump ship because they lose a series they should have won. As it is, I'm obviously taking the Lakers. I wouldn't doubt that we come out and win by 20+ points. This team is so freaking schizophrenic with their play. They're also at home..where they've lost once all playoffs (granted it was to the Rockets), and only 6 times in 46 games. Statistics also back up that the home team will win...but we've long since thrown statistics out in this series.
Yeah but the expectations were so low for that team. I understoood that they were rebuilding. But every year that passes without a championship, the closer we are to the end of this team. I just cant handle how they have played recently. It's unacceptable. But Im mainly just pissed. Im sure I'll feel a little better when and if they win tomorrow.
If they lose it would be much more than a team that lost a series they should have won. If they lose this team is going to have underachieved this season like no other and not have a single good excuse for doing so. You have no clue what I go through with this team. I go to games here in Houston and have got in physical confrontations with Rockets fans. I take it way too seriously but I cant help it. Year after year I pay $200 so I can watch every single game from my home here in Houston. I fight and argue with everyone I know about this team. I didnt say I wouldnt be a fan anymore but I did say I wouldnt be a die-hard. Being a die-hard doesnt mean you are one for the rest of your life. Somethings are just unacceptable and the way they have played in this series is just that. The way they have acted at press conferences after each ass whoopin' is unacceptable. The way Phil refuse to start a guard that can atleast hang with Brooks shadow is unacceptable. The fact that Sasha is more likely to shoot an airball than he is to hit a bucket is unacceptable. All these things might not be unacceptable to you but thats just the way it is for me. In all seriousness I'll probably get over this monumental collapse if it happens but it is what it is. There is no excuse for what has transpired over this series. The Lakers are a product and this product isn't living up to its name. Like I said im just pissed. Put too much into this team to get these kinds of results. But whatever I guess since the players act like its not that big of a deal I wont take it as seriously anymore. When they start actin like they care again, so will I.
Lakers are going to win today, but they're losers anyway. I'm so disappointed with this team, cause I see all this talent wasted.

ah this is what i was talking about earlier, bandwagon fans who go crazy one minute about how they have given up on the team, then when we win they are jolly and in full support of the team, it really bugs me as a long time lakers fan to see such disloyalty. Anyway, I am so glad we won today, its been a stressfull week here in the lakers forum, JE you dont feel our pain, lol, that was a good call sir.
