if you exclude "someone who consistently produces" then i agree that it could describe artest. though the whole point of an experience veteran is the idea that they will make better decisions and be able to be consistently relied on. that isn't the case with artest.

Idk why you guys are worried about SF. Batum will be the starter next year and rightfully so.

The two main things the Blazers need to make it to the next level is a PG(hey Andre Miller) and Greg Oden to develop, with Oden being the #1 most important thing for more team success next year.

I don't think we can offer enough to get their top five draft pick no mattter how badly they are off in money terms, but I wouldn't mind buying the first pick of the second round from them and then trading the rest of our second round picks for future picks or trading up in the first round this year.

Martell Webster would like to disagree with you.

I'm sure he would. When a team picks you over Chris Paul, and you wind up being third string behind a couple of guys picked in the 20s, it must be humiliating.

In what alternate reality that you live in was this the case? Last I heard, Webster was out all year save for one pre-season game and 5 minutes in the middle of the season. Webster would have been the starter at the 3 this year save for injuries. Wishing that wasn't the case doesn't make it true.

Both Seattle, and supposedly Vancouver BC are looking for teams. It would be great to get another team in the NW so we could actually have two teams in the NW division actually located in the NW. It would force another realignment, but would cut down on the ridiculous amount of traveling the Blazers have to do.

Of course, the Maloofs want to move the Kings to Vegas, but I'm not sure Stern would allow it.

Dude, what are you - his agent? Webster is a journeyman. Batum has earned the starting job, and Outlaw's ability to create his own shot makes him better suited to the 6th man role. Webster's best asset is his 3 point shooting, and we already have plenty of people who can fill that job.

Heeey, how 'bout the Kansas City Kings? We've got a great new arena here needing an anchor tenant, and that way I wouldn't have to drive 5 hrs to OKC to see the Blazers...
