Re: Small shows this weekend (Lashley, Prangley, Sanchez, etc. in action) I was back and forth watching both events last night... good times. -Ryan Gimmo looked really good. His stand up is supposed to be his best asset, but the fight stayed on the ground a lot and he controlled it and moved really well. He couldn't finish the fight but I think this guy may get a shot at the big time soon. He looks 37, but is actually 27. -David Heath's loss wasn't bullshit, but dang it was a close one. I think Heath took the 1st and 3rd personally. -Alessio was fed a can or at least someone who didn't belong in there with him.. easy win. - I still no nothing more about Lashley as an MMA fighter save for he's not dumb, if someone sticks their head in his chest, he'll choke'em out. Good having that happen often. - Great title fight. Prangley is a tough SOB and he kept coming on. Vs a great striking his chin up style would have him on his back wondering what happened, but he can take a good lick. Was not a boring 5 rounder at all. - Quach got lucky with the win. The first round was a sparring session, the 2nd hardly beter, but it was decided that Quach won those rounds. In the 3rd Tito Jones picked it up and starting rocking Quach and messed up his face. If he coulda sucked it up a bit Jones could have finished it in the 3rd. - missed most of the Rosa fight, looks like he had an easy time of it from the reply though. - The Lavar Johnson KO was different. The other dude shot in from a distance and Lavar side stepped and used and uppercut. Dude kept going through with the take down attempt and landed on his face stone cold out. - of course the chick fight was good. Kauffman punches like a dude and messed taite up in the 1st. Taite got an early takedown in the 2nd got some licks in then Kauffman defended well but probably lost the round as she spent most of it on her back. Taite couldn't get a good takedown in the 3rd so she ate some more punches. Kauffman didn't throw any kicks so she could sprawl and it worked really well. - Aina/evangelista was a solid fight until the knee. replays show it didn't hit the head solidly but the shoulder and MAYBE the head too. Aina kept clenching and grabbing his jaw so they had to stop the fight. Rather disappointing ending to a decent night for Strikeforce/SHOMMA
