In six games, Alex Rodriguez has three hits in 21 at bats for a .143 batting average. Ouch. To make matters worse, he has only one run scored and four RBI with three coming in his first game back. If he continues to not hit, he won’t be good protection for Mark Teixeira who’s trying to get out of a slump himself.

If A-Rod was taking steroids his whole baseball career, we could be seeing the real A-Rod, some one who just can’t hit. It’s possible he was helped by steroids. If he wasn’t taking steriods his whole career, then he should break out of his slump and soon.

Here’s the dilemma A-Rod is in if he was taking steroids and he just stopped recently.. There’s a good possibility that he’s facing pitchers that are on steroids and it isn’t an even playing field. He could be up against some real juicers and they are having the upper hand.

Imagine if you’re a batter that’s used to hitting a 97 mph fastball because you were on steroids but then you stopped using steroids. The fastball must look like 197 mph especially if it’s coming from a juiced up pitcher. I believe steroids helps hand-eye coordination because past steroid users that stopped have low batting averages and can’t hit a home run(I’m looking at you David Ortiz)

This is why they should release all the names of the players that failed the steroid testing program, to even the playing field so they stop taking the juice.

Now that A-Rod was caught, he has to stop using steroids. I believe there are pitchers that are using roids and they will continue to do so until they get caught. That’s not fair to A-Rod.

If you want to think of a good reason for his slump, it’s because he’s not juicing and the pitchers are.

Alex is facing Francisco Liriano tonight. Liriano’s fastball has been ranging between 89 mph to 92 mph and will most likely throw his slider to A-Rod when the count is at two strikes. A-Rod has been having trouble with pitches low and inside and Liriano throws 12 percent of his pitches inside to right-handed batters but not necessarily low. We’ll see what happens.

Stop making excuses for A-Roid by throwing the pitchers under the bus by accusing them of steroids. Terrible argument.

A-Roid is in a slump, that is all.

So many problems with your theory. Not the least of which is that A-rod has been facing guys like Adam Eaton, Koji Uehara, Scott Richmond, and Brian Tallet - none of which are juiced up power pitchers throwing "97". A-Rod has always been a streaky hitter. He gets hot and can raise his batting average and power numbers to league leading levels in a week. He didn't have a spring training - so his timing is going to be off (naturally) Let's take a 2nd look at him in November, then try and assess his impact in a season we know he isn't juicing.

Black Mamba, you have to admit though, Yankee players have been targeted and pitchers on other teams might be getting away with taking roids.

Kaydow, I'm not sure A-Rod can come back from this though. This is his first slump not taking steroids. We'll see what happens.

After today and yesterday - looks like A-Rod is going to be fine w/o the roids.

Or maybe he picked up some ancient Egyptian curse after lingering in Madonna's musty catacombs.

That's funny speeds. Looks like I was wrong about A-Rod's slump though.

I think I'll have to eat crow on this one and admit I was wrong. I was wrong.
