I just hope OKC doesn't move up. If they got the #1 or #2 pick, they really would have something building.

I know because I live in Oakland where the Warriors, again, are in the lottery. I might watch with mild interest to see who KP may make a deal with.

Or I might just watch Countdown with Keith Olbermann at that time.

    Clean the cat boxes.

    Prune the roses.

    Fix dinner.

All kinds of things to do when you don't have to watch the lottery!

I care! I want a team weak at PF to get the #1 pick and teams that are strong at PG to get the #2 and #3 picks.

I would be okay with Oklahoma getting the #1 pick and getting local boy Griffin. In fact, that would be funny, because they might even prefer Rubio, but if they got #1 and DIDN'T take Griffin, they'd be run out of town. The reason I'm okay with it is because, by all accounts Griffin is not much of a defender, and with Durant and Griffin they'd be like the Bucks when they had Glenn Robinson and Vin Baker and I can't see them ever really contending.

For the other two top 3 positions, my first choices are Washington (I can't see Arenas agreeing to move over to SG) or Memphis (if they take Rubio, they can trade Conley to us), perhaps Indiana (they're already paying nearly $15M to Ford and Tinsley at the point, and they probably need to re-sign Jack, who was playing better than either by the end of the season, plus they showed last year they're more interested in solid NBA players or 4-year college guys than risky picks) or Charlotte (again, if they want Rubio, they can give up either Felton or Augustin).

Also okay would be Toronto (Calderon) or NJ (Harris - although I don't trust Rod Thorn to make a bad trade in our favor) or possibly the Clippers, although there's a danger they could ship Davis back to GState and hang on to Rubio. Because, of course, this is all about us getting a shot at Rubio. For those of you who want to "bake it" or think Rubio is Sergio pt. II, by all means clean your catboxes. I'll be paying rapt attention.

I am really pumped for the lotto tonight. I just love the Draft Lotto and seeing the surprises that come out of it. This is the 1st major step to the offseason process.

I've always been a huge fan of the draft, but over the last few years it is on par with Christmas and cooler than my birthday.

Yup, this is my interest. The draft order will matter for where various players can be realistically had and where KP might trade up.

Hmmm, not being IN the lottery, I don't think that is likely.

I've had enough of lotto-land. I'll hope for KP to make deals to get us the players we need and look for our team to get better each year.

    Believe Harder.

We only had a 5.3% chance to get Durant!

Why would OKC take Rubio? Russell. Westbrook.

Besides, the Kings are taking Rubio if he's available. If they don't, Petrie should be fired on the spot (unless the Maloofs intervene with his decision, which is entirely possible).

If they think Rubio is a more natural distributor, they could shift Westbrook to shooting guard. If Rubio is the real deal, a Rubio/Westbrook/Durant perimeter would be pretty amazing.

Of course, if they believe Griffin is a legitimate star talent, they should take him, since they need a star big man more than a perimeter star. But if they rank Rubio as the better player, they can certainly fit both him and Westbrook into their starting lineup.

Wow that is a tough choice. A big problem for OKC right now is getting the crowd interested, which is where the home town boy might make sense. At least for a while. If Rubio is making sportscenter assist and getting the team more W's, that might be big mistake. IMO W's do a lot more for getting a crowd interested than just getting a new player. Seeing as how the big mistake OKC made over the last few years when PJ Carlesimo was there was playing Durant out of position, I could see getting Rubio and moving Westbrook to SG. Everybody in their correct positions, playing well.

OKC would do well if they moved Westbrook to SG - he would be attacking the rim in a D-Wade like fashion and thrive in this position. This will allow them to have a couple of guys that can break down the defense off the dribble and one that is a true pass-first point guard to set everyone else at the right place.
