So recently I was given a new banana heavy bag for free. The bag is 6 ft and 100 lbs. I had planned on putting it in my basement... btw I'm an idiot. My basement's ceiling is probably around 6 foot 10, with beams coming down from it making those sectiosn shorter. the problem is, and im really hoping i can explain this well over the internet, is that the chain that holds the bag up is too long for my ceiling. If i were to hook it to the bag would still be touching the ground and slumped over a little bit. The chain is connected to the bag on each side of it, and then it meets in the middle like a normal heavy bag chain does. my question is could i disconnect it from the middle, and then reconnect it back together only on a lower part of the chain? if this makes no sense at all tell me and I'll take some pics and upload them to explain what it is I'm talking about..
