http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=12721 That means more money in the offseason to resign our own guys, if true. Hopefully we sell it to give Buss some financial flexibility. This year's draft is pretty weak, and we already have the Bobcat's 2nd rounder, which is #13 in the second round. Beyond that, we don't really have that much space on our roster, and I don't want more youth. We need vets. Anyways, beat Denver kthnx.
you want the 29th pick? I heard Houston wants to buy a pick this year, they may be a client, but I think they'd probably want to shoot higher.
The Lakers will get some magical trade again (Pau for Kwame), and get Chris Bosh for Luke Walton, Derek Fisher, Mbenga + 1st round pick. and continue to have a ridiculously talented team.
Sounds intriguing, I won't complain Jerry is willing to spend money and he could use some relief there. Is the draft that weak though? I knew it was an off year but is it that bad?
If MLSE (the owners) gets their head out of their asses they can buy any pick they want, it can be sad. Toronto will get another 1st soon, BC knows his job is on the line this summer, this season and next summer.
It's pretty bad, in terms of direct impact, but role players could be a plenty. Problem is, a lot of that depends on where each fits.
I think a lot of teams will be trading out of this year's draft. There's a lot of potential role players, but few impact can't miss prospects. If the Lakers don't win the title this year I really don't know what to expect the team to look like next season.
Shape, if the Lakers do not win this year do you expect major changes? Trades? Signings? Or just basically status quo?
If we don't win it this year, I think we let Odom go. Bring back Ariza. Try to package Farmar + Ammo's contract, Walton + Ammo's contract, or Sasha + Ammo's contract for a solid 3 point shooter. Let Phil take a position in the front office. Get him off the bench.
