They look gay some of the time, depending on the color of the tights compared to the uniform or because of the player wearing them.I just want somebody to break out a weird color... like a pink or something, whichwould be hilarious, but not many uniforms have pink in them.

Well if tights are ban, players just have other ways to get around it. Doesnt matter if their gay looking. Only player that wears them consistantly is Jerry Stackhouse. Someone said because their comfrotable, not really. Notice when players go back on the bench and their put their warm up back on? Theres a reason for that. To keep their blood warmer. It keeps everything flowing. So pretty much the same reason why Stackhouse, to keep his legs alive, lol. But for someone like LeBron, typical, more media attention

There are more players that wear them consistently than Stackhouse. For example, Kobe, LeBron, DWade, AI, CWebb, etc., but Stackhouse might have been the one to start the trend. The tights are mainly used to keep the players' legs warm, blood flowing, etc., as you said. But I still think that this is going to far. I heard Stern is just afraid that the tights will "become a part of the NBA uniform" which doesn't make too much sense to me.He wanted to get rid of the hip-hop image... but what in the hell do tights have to do with the hip-hop image? Hell, banning headbands, armbands, etc., would have made more sense (I'm opposed to that too), but banning tights? Please...I'm sure it won't be too big of a deal though. Players who want to wear them bad enough will just get their team doctor to submit a letter to the league saying the player needs to wear them for medical purposes.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (AirBlaze @ Apr 1 2006, 03:16 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>NBA probably has a better reputation now than the NFL and MLB now anyways. With the NFL salary cap problems, and the MLB steroid allegations. the NBA cares thing was a good way to increase the nba's good rep, and so was last years' tsunami relief and the hurricane katrina relief. the dress code was okay, but you're right david stern is just trying to make the NBA look more like the NFL and MLB and i think Stern is just stupid for doing so. Maybe he's been around for too long, he became commisioner in 1984, back in MJ's rookie year.</div> NBA has a better reputation than the NFL? Are you out of your mind? What NFL salary cap problems? They got that all fixed and it was overblown to begin with. NBA Cares has had no impact on the games reputation.
